Not defending his jokes or the things he said but I think hearing it in the original context, without the weird creepy music added in the background, makes it more obvious that it was actually a joke. I'm sure shane has addressed this video in the past, he apologized for making these extremeley scandalous and tasteless jokes. He admitted he would make them because it was a cheap and easy way of being humorous and to cause an impression. I never knew he made these kind of jokes until he made that apology video so I can tell his disgusting jokes decreased since then. Now, I know he's being quite problematic lately (I don't really know anything specif since I dont watch him anymore) but that case is just old news and has been addressed, it was still super bad, but we've got to remember that people can change. Someone who was racist in the past and grew out of that can potentially do more good than someone who never was racist to begin with.

The thing he has kept saying that does not stand up to these videos, is “this was a dark time in his life” and he was “depressed.” Well, I have not seen him laugh as much as he has in all these videos. Seriously, you can “act” happy when depressed, but he in a very scary way seemed happier in those videos than in ANYTHING in the past years. I am a counseling professional, he really has a problem that is bigger than people seem to even talk about. The things he did in those times may have been acting out things in his past, but he has swung the other way. Just look at him and what makes him popular now. This was actually super triggering for me especially when he said "I didn't k ow 12 year olds developed like that". My stepfather was a pedophile that sexually abused me from the age of 6 to 12 and when I went to police at age 13 (I ran away to live with my biological father and opened up to my stepmom about the abuse). My abuser said to the detective "just look at her rack" and "it's like a child in a woman's body". My abuser got off not guilty despite medical evidence collected from my genitals at 13 and lots of other circumstantial evidence from the home I was abused in. This shit happens to kids and to think that saying these things was ever okay is disgusting and promotes these types of behaviors which can cause permanent trauma and harm to young children. He should have been locked up and "cancelled" years ago. These videos made me physically angry. Also, being sexually abused doesn't make it okay to abuse others. I can joke about my own abuse here and there but I don't joke about doing things to other children. He's disgusting.

Adventurous 101 It’s been hard to follow. I think it started when they did a BLM video where black reactors shared their experiences of being black in america. In response to that, people shared an old video of the fine brothers doing blackface, and several black reactors and staff members shared their experiences of being black at FBE. Kennedy Zimet who was a reactor for a while and then I think she became staff as well, made a video and a lot of tweets about stuff that went on behind the scenes- basically black people not being treated well. An ex-producer said that if the fine brothers looked over a thumbnail for a video before it was posted, they wouldn’t allow more than one black reactor in the thumbnail- it was something about they wanted to benefit from diversity but not actually support black people- I can’t remember the name of the producer so struggling to find the tweet again. Other than the old blackface video, it seems to be accusations of behind the scenes stuff so there isn’t any evidence apart from people tweeting about it which is maybe why it isn’t being talked about that much? Lots of reactors and staff are quitting in solidarity with the black staff and reactors that have quit. But it’s kind of confusing to follow because no one seems to have put all the information together in one place. I only found out because I watched a video from them and one of the producers said it was his last video and he was leaving, and someone in the comments said they thought it was probably because of the racism stuff so I started googling last night.
