I have been watching Tamkenat’s No Filters videos after watching her in Stand UP Girl. They are so apt, truly depicting different aspects of our society in such an hilarious manner. Have become a huge fan of hers. She is Mashallah so talented and intelligent and pretty. Didn’t know she was a doctor, never calls herself Dr. Tamkenat. An all rounder full of energy and life; positive with her hand on the pulse of the society.

I also use to wonder why positive progressive dramas don’t get ratings. The first thing comes to mind is that the audience doesn’t have the taste for it, but I truly believe that negative character and cunning/deceiving characters resonates with larger audience more. They have a nand at home plotting, they have a saas at home giving them hell, an abusive husband and seeing all these characters on screen gives audience at home some sort of validation that they are not alone.

Very good interview. Just one objection about activism and Palestine,I would like to say that Pakistani people need to raise voice,first for local atrocities being committed in Baluchistan and against our minorities. Palestine has a lot of support worldwide, but there is hardly a mention of kidnappings, killings and ethnic cleaning happening inside Pakistan against ethnic minorities. Please don't forget local atrocities. What Israel is doing against Palestine is actually happening in Pakistan too,by Pakistani state against her own citizens in Baluchistan and other far flung areas.
