Later I found out that my dad woke up way before sunrise to collect cans and bottles for months to get the money to buy them. Mad respect! Jordan 4’s will always be my favorite!

I’m 53, the OG 4’s were the first sneakers I ever doubled up on in my young adult life and I owned multiple color-ways of, two pairs of the breds and just one of the fire reds, back then you did not have to double up right away as they stayed in stock for a little while longer than the release day, I remember wanting more thinking to myself that I’d never see them again in the future (this was way before the word “retro” was in the common language), and I don’t remember anyone talking “resell or flip” back then....lol!

Well I bought a pair of silver bullets for 169 dollars. Which I thought it was a steal for EU... Then I had to pay 40 dollars on shipping plus and extra of 75 euros of vat... In the end I think I paid 300 dollars for the silver bullets which I think it ain't worth it buying anything from America.

At risk of sounding like a hype beast I’m really feelin the OW 4’s and grey kaws 4. If money weren’t an issue I’d definitely go with the Eminem Carhartt 4’s. For OG’s I love the fire reds and white cement 4’s. 🤤

Back in the day the Breds were my favorite because they often released after the white versions, so by the time they released everybody that was able to get them already had the first release and then you’d see some black ones trickle into school. it was almost like the black were some kind of special edition or something( until the VI which I think released in the blk/infra first . But my nostalgia now wants the white cement because that’s the ones I spent the most time drooling over in classs.

Ive purchased from Stock X , excellent customer service and responded to emails quickly , my only complaint was that it took a long time for my shoes to arrive. I've just recently sold my first pair of shoes on stock X and we will see how that goes. Im not thrilled with the time it took , but I'd rather wait and know that what I'm buying is legit.

I have purchased 12 pair from stock x. 1 pair stock X received from the seller was either Fakes or not dead stock when they checked them out, I was notified and my money was sent right back to my card immediately. The other 11 pair checked out and were shipped to me. The only down side to me is it takes a while to get your shoes bc the seller needs to ship to Stock X, once received Stock X will legit check then ship to you. But overall very easy to buy and sell and great to have peace of mind that your shoes will be dead stcok and legit.

My all-time fav shoe is the 4. My fav colorway is BRED. Story goes...I was 11yo back in ‘89, all my friends from school had the BREDs. We were a very close-knit group of 8 friends. They all had the BREDs, but I didn’t have any bc my parents couldn’t afford them. They didn’t think $100+ for shoes was worth it. Anyway, one day my parents took me to our normal shopping spot in downtown El Paso. I hated being there because we would pass a lot of shoe stores...Jordan 4s just looking at me through the display window. I couldn’t bare to even look at them, I was so bummed out. Then we kept walking, and walking, and walking. I was tired and pissed off with my parents for “teasing me” so cruelly 😂 Then, after a while of walking and going from shop to shop getting my parents’ things, we came to the ONLY shop in town that had ‘em in black cement! Well it was time for me to get shoes for school, so my mom told me to pick out any pair...but NOT the Jordans! WTF? 😢 So I got sad as hell, picked out a pair for school and waited for the salesman to come back with my shitty shoes. Haha! Then, he comes back with a store bag with my box of shoes in them. My mom says “open it.” I did, and there they were...brand spankin’ new pair of black Jordan 4s! And cherry on top, they were the ONLY pair in black, in the whole damn downtown area! So, turns out my mom had gone to that store earlier that day and bought the shoes for me. It was my parents’ surprise for me doing so damn good in school and staying out of trouble ☺️ Still love and thank my parents for this HUGE surprise! But fast forward 1 year after that, and it turns out my mom gave my Jordans to my cousin bc she thought I didn’t want them anymore since it was a whole new school year and it was time for new school shoes! Nooooooooooo!!! 😭 My cousin tore the shit out of my 4s in a matter of weeks!! And she, yes SHE, said she didn’t even want the shoes bc she didn’t like them! What a bitch!!! Fast forward 30 years, I’m now 41, and STILL pissed of at my mom for giving them away to someone who didn’t even want them, didn’t like them, and didn’t take care of them! Haven’t talked to my cousin in YEARS!! 😂

They re-released the encore 4s. The retro encores came out at the start of '05. They re-released it back in December '17. I've been trying to get it on stock x, just hadn't have the time to purchase 1. The retro as you see back in 05 was a darker blue with red laces. The 2017 version has grey laces but a lighter blue base coler
