Man it must have so much to do with what you had as a kid.. I wanted the five back when I was a kid obsessed with MJ & the Bulls but when I got mine it was the Jordan 6 and later the 7 (91 & 92) I LOVED THEM.. to this day not many of the other Jordans pull at me.. but the retro 6 black/infrared and 7 raptor now are like having an old musclecar on my feet..Awesome!

One of the things I never understood was there is zero continuity. It would be nice if each shoe had a similar piece. Yet everyone is so radically different. For me its 1985-1998. All of the other stuff is just his shoes with his logo. The retros for me are where I am invested.

Charlie Sonia kashuk who wear shoes that are so expensive and design a certain way on top but they forget about the whole concept overshoot is the bottom broke the bottom mean that you have to have the bottom correct and designed to where it don't tear up and they don't wear out so it come from a golf ball rubber, rubber on the bottom of the shoes so you can design it and put any color you want to put it on on the bottom so I can last so you can put a whole lot of my friends with you bro you're the real Baltimore

Because the NBA said that basketball shoes need to not only match the team's colors but also the teammate's. That's why the Jordan 1 with all black and red was banned. In the NBA's eyes this shoe was too out of place with it's colorway in comparison to the other players with mostly white shoes.

You are Correct. MJ didn't play in the Nike Air Jordan until late in the first half of his rookie year. Preseason and the first few months of the 84-85 season were played in the Nike Air Ship. As MJ and the Bulls were warned in Preseason, and again later warned in October of 1984, before the Nike Air Jordan made its debut on MJ's feet, it was in fact the Black/Red Nike Air Ship that was "banned". The actual fine didn't come until February of 1985 however, so Nike capitalized off the publicity to generate more sales of the Nike Air Jordan, which didn't release to the public until Sept. 1985.
