Tv ratings fall every year and aren’t an indication of anything because they only take into account American tv watchers. The finals have been in free fall viewership decline for years. I’m not even American along with all my family and friends that watch the nba so we’re not counted for 1, but 2 because of the expenses we all watch it on free streaming services and I believe that’s how most people watch it nowadays because there’s about 50 comments in a second on some of the sites and 99% of people just don’t comment while some other sites don’t even have the option to. The NBA is losing out on so much revenue and trackable views from that but finally 3 tv watching is just on the decline. All the younger people view short form content on social media which the NBA blows everything out of the water on. How to effectively monetise and cater to that properly to make it effective idk. But actual fans of the game and basketball care about the NBA cup and we watched and are still watching in more ways than ever but just not being counted

Unless you’re the Lakers with a diehard global fanbase which made it work well in terms of the crowd last year, any other team unfortunately just isn’t going to attract as feverish of a crowd in America unless you go international to somewhere with a lot of passion that has one of their guys in the team. But if it’s just 2 mid or small market teams playing in a neutral venue where most of the attendees will just naturally be locals because you don’t even know who’s going to be playing until a couple days out of the game, it’s just naturally going to feel like an exhibition game more than anything in terms of crowd atmosphere for sure

Okc fan here... Okc down by 1 at the half. Only 1/15 3pt at that point. Id like to think 50% of rhe shots were good looks. Some were just thrown up as a hail mary after a while. Refs were calling pretty fairly both sides. But there were quite a few Sus calls. Like the one in your thumbnail which you didnt care to mention? Lu dort on the ground with complete possession of the ball, Giannis jumps on him and Dort gets called for the foul?? Hartenstein called for offensive interference eith refs saying rhe ball was in the cylinder. But was definitely out and trajectory away from rhe cylinder. Bad shooting game for us, gg to the bucks. 7 game series with Chet will be different.

This just shows how the refs are selective on who they call fouls on. Giannis getting the LeFlop treatment with non calls on him is part of why the NBA is losing fans. Giannis is a good player but a turd when on the court acting the bully. He clearly pushed off the defender with his arm yet no call. That shit is PC crap.
