I agree with that sentiment, but to be fair, Grossi was fan of the year and Nagler used to be a beat writer. They are both just as deserving as Andy! That being said, let's put in a good word for Andy next year!

@@mosthatedminnesotan Grossi is a PR creature and Nagler phones it in most of the time. Andy is the absolute real deal and he proves it everyday.

It's a long way to Brazil, but the players will be back in their own beds Saturday night. After week 8, there's 4 road games, 4 home games, and a bye. 3 of road games are in the division, so minimal travel. The other road game is in Seattle, but it's off a mini-bye. Couldn't ask for a better schedule to end the season. Also, I like that there aren't 3 road games in a row.

The issue I have with the gold package games is that last year the Milwaukee fans sold their tickets to Detroit fans, and it felt like Detroit had more fans in Lambeau than Green Bay.
@seabizkitsngravy4 ай бұрын
I was at that game. Way too much blue to be sure, but at the beginning of the game it wasn't THAT bad. But the team performed poorly and most Packers fans were gone around half time.

My personal predictions pre-schedule release for an AVERAGE Packers season, since there did not seem to be any major upheavals within the schedule itself: 1) Within the division, I'm anticipating around 4 wins out of 6, because I could easily see us trading blow-for-blow with the Lions (whom are probably our biggest competition for the division) and I could see us dropping one against either the Bears or the Vikings (though more likely from the Bears, since they've been loading up their offense throughout the postseason, even if I think Caleb Williams is a bit overhyped). 2) Against the NFC West, I'm anticipating around 2.25 wins out of 4 (or 2 to 3 wins but leaning towards 2), because the 49ers have typically had our number in the past, and the Rams will still have Matthew Stafford and some great young receivers (though they won't have Aaron Donald on the defense anymore). Definitely still winnable games, not to mention the Seahawks and massive draft classes incoming for the Cardinals being a big wild card, but it's going to be a tough division nonetheless. 3) Against the AFC South, I'm anticipating around 2.75 wins out of 4 (or 2 to 3 wins but leaning towards 3), because I think all of these games are going to be much easier compared to the NFC West, though I wouldn't be surprised if the Strouds tear it up offensively and it's a big shootout (i.e. one of those 38-35 kind of games) or if Anthony Richardson's return ends up having a good comeback year for them. Since they collapsed last season, I have little faith in the Jaguars, and since losing Derrick Henry but making several splash signings, I honestly don't know what to think of the Titans, but I'm not afraid of most of these teams (except for maybe the Texans). 4) Regarding the solo games against the Dolphins, Eagles, and Saints, I'm anticipating around 2 wins out of 3. We will be playing the Dolphins in cold weather, so I think they should be at a massive disadvantage, and we will have to see if the Eagles are able to turn things around with their new coordinators since last year. I have little fear of the Saints, though I'm sure it will be a low-scoring game, since they generally have a good defense. In total, my average anticipation for the Packers this upcoming season is 11-6. Happy to engage with any analytical comments regarding my thoughts, because again, these are just my predictions working with the assumption that 1) the offense will still be solid under Jordan Love and this young roster/minimal "sophomore slump" and 2) Jeff Hafley's aggressive defensive style is at least MARGINALLY better than Joe Barry's. Go Pack Go! 😁

On paper, the Green Bay Packers have one of the more challenging strengths of schedules this season. According to Sharp Football, the Packers strength of schedule ranks 14th based on the projected win totals for their opponents. Another metric has the Packers with the 4th-most difficult schedule, based on their opponents 2023 win percentages. However, beyond just who the Packers play and where those games take place, there are other factors that can impact the difficulty of the schedule. Below I dive into some other key takeaways that could factor into how the Packers season unfolds. Not surprisingly, after playing Week 1 in Brazil, the Packers will be back home for a week 2 matchup with the Indianapolis Colts. With the Packers week 1 matchup with the Eagles taking place on a Friday, they will have 2-day rest advantage over the Indianapolis Colts, although that obviously could be impacted by the nearly 11,000-mile round trip flight. A mid-season bye-week for the Green Bay Packers. I imagine that makes Matt Lafluer quite happy. The last 2 seasons, the Packers bye week either came extremely early or extremely late in the season. With 9 home games and only 8 on the road, the Packers only have back-to-back road games once this season, one of which comes in Detroit. There is also 1 instance in which the Packers have back-to-back home games. The Packers will travel the 10th most miles this season. However, when you factor in the trip to Brazil making up a relatively decent portion of those miles, the rest of the season, from a travel perspective, works out really well for our Green Bay Packers. Go Pack Go 💚💚💛💛

I was at the Packers-Titans game in Nashville the "run the table" year and it was anything but an away game. That stadium was 60-65% Packers fans. Also, a good stadium to visit. As I recall, it was very easy to get around. The one complaint I heard from a Packer's fan was that the vendors ran out of beer during the game in his section.

Andy, the reason why I'm upset as a green package holder about the gold package getting all the division games is the fact that the division games are final to the playoffs. And I just feel like more and more the Milwaukee crowd is not in it and sells their tickets to the big bucks in the cities from the opposing fans, so I worry about that.

This was top notch Andy. You went over everything. The only thing that I could say to improve would be to have the schedule up next to you in a side-by-side manner. However I love the depth that you went into.

Gold package is always 2nd and 5th home games. Not 2nd and 7th. Seems like the Packers could have choose the 8th home game rather last one (9th) to be the extra Gold package game to avoid the Gold package getting all the division home matchups?
