Yeah, it seems like I can't find just the basic version. Just a deluxe with all expansions and the fancy pawns. If I could add the other stuff piecemeal, great. But nope, gotta spend as much as a PS5.

@@AdKoolaid you commenting about overproduction on multiple videos is also not doing anything. Making assumptions that this is our “livlihood” is also pointless (this isn’t our livelihood, we both work full time on top of this hobby). If it makes you feel better to continue this crusade of yours against us, and IV. Have at it. But you’re screaming into the void. Boardgames are a luxury hobby, none of it is needed, by anyone.

One of my current favorites. I really enjoy this game. It gets just a touch long at 5 players, but it's still a constant flurry of activity. I can't get this to the table nearly often enough. But I'll always say yes to a game anytime!

We’re never played at 5, I find 3 to be a pretty good sweet spot because it’s not too long and you get to use the wager cards!

@@FostertheMeeple I haven't played at 3. I feel like that would spread resources a little too thin with 3 people trying to fight in too many regions. Or might let people go uncontested too often. I'll have to try it. I played @ 5 at one of my Meetups. We meet at a bar and we specifically make one event per quarter a "heavier" night. So I taught 4 new people how to play. From 5:30pm to 8:45. It was a long game, but everyone really enjoyed it and stayed engaged the entire time.

It's a game that would be a great event game, if I didn't already have too many event games. That 2+ hour gameplay slot just gets filled. Isn't it such a privilege to have so many great games available to pick from, and have time to play be the problem? Need to find new friends with it in their collection to play WW more often. Especially with the balance updates to certain characters that were rolled out, which I have yet to try.

There was some balance issues in the first print run with the character powers. The upgrade pack apparently has fixed the issues but I have not been able to get my hands on it because Druid City Games is currently in between distributors.
