RipNtear Gaming All the levels are really good, but Kadingir Sanctum is a real standout for me. The Bruiser Brother shoutout at the end, the infights, the combat...so many good things. Foundry has some really good arenas, and so do the Necropolis, VEGA Central Processing, and Argent D’Nur. Although I would have answered “the part where you rip and tear” if it wasn’t for the 666 people who said that first.

It’s a shame Doom Eternal doesn’t take place immediately after 2016, it’s “some time” later and the story in between games is picked up as codex entries by the looks of things. 2016’s start of breaking your chains and beating demons senseless (completely naked) until you find the Praetor, was epic af. Still, this is the first game I’ve taken two days off to play in 4 years.

It's a small point, but something I never noticed until I watched this is the way the ghosts of the Knight sentinels are standing. They form most of an upside down star, a pentagram, with the Slayer as the bottom-most point before he gets warped back by the tether. Just a neat little detail.

The bfg 10000 more then likely will be used by the slayer as in the early game play you can see Mars has been ripped open by some thing with a greenish energy and flames floating around my guess is doomguy shot mars and then heads back there to go through the portal where we first saw the "new" cyber demon

It's a good video, I also wanna throw in something that might not be true but its just a theory of mine. Now this is regarding the betrayer's son and the marauder, this theory I have brought up is that maybe the icon of sin isn't the betrayer's son but rather the marauder is, evidence i could say is when concept art for the marauder have came we saw what he looked like before he became the marauder. Second is that in Doom 2016 in the codex entry on the wraiths the paragraph that says: "For his payment, the Betrayer's son was returned to him in our form, and the icon of sin was brought upon the heathens." It didn't really say he transformed into the icon of sin but returned into a demon and the icon of sin was brought. Other thing is the marauder is basically the only night sentinel we know who has converted into a demon while the night sentinels were ghosts in 2016.

Can you cite where in the Doom 2016 lore it is stated *that one summoner is completely responsible for the Lazarus wave that mutated/zombified almost the entire Martian UAC installation?* Because as far as my memory serves me that wave was either caused by a dimensional rift between the UAC base & Hell, or some other piece of tech on the base. I definitely have no recollection of the Lazarus Wave, an Union Aerospace Corporation Martian Installation wide event, being caused by a singular summoner demon.

I think you should personally not have said that the Betrayers son is the Icon of Sin, as we don't actually know that yet. The wording of the text is deliberately vague. "For his payment, the Betrayer's son was returned to him in our form, and the Icon of Sin was brought upon the heathens." Looking at the way it's worded for me it's more along the lines of, his son was returned in demon form and then the Icon of Sin was used to win the battle against Argent D'Nur.

If the Wretch created the Preator suit for the slayer; as it looks different from the Night Sentinel Knight Armor, why does the Marauder have praetor armor? Why does the betrayer? Why does the concept art show multiple praetor night sentinels? And why is there such a drastic difference between that medieval armor they still wear and the praetor suits?

What are your thoughts on the different platforms? My current home life doesn't allow me much time to play games on a console or pc, so I was thinking of waiting until it was released for the Switch, so I could play in bed at night after the kiddos go to sleep. I know the Switch release is delayed and I believe that a 3rd party is porting it, but do you think the Switch will still offer comparable game play? I am not a huge gamer, but do have a PS4, Switch (lite) and both a PC and laptop that should be capable of running Eternal. This will be the first game that I actually buy upon release, as I never really have time (I bought 2016 when it was marked down to like $20). I can certainly wait a little while longer for the Switch port but I want to make sure I am not setting myself up for disappointment. If you have any insight I would love to hear it. Love the channel and am grateful for all the videos on the Doom lore. Keep up the great work.

I wouldn't try it on a switch nevermind a switch light it's faster paced than 2016 and it has quite alot of framerate drops on switch and eternal has 10X as much action it will be unplayable hence why it got delayed personally pc or ps4 would be you're best bet

Yeah it can be tough to find time to play. I work 2 jobs, have one kid, and go to school so the only time I really have time is late at night. Honestly, the Switch is not a bad solution as it is portable and you can play when you're not at home or like you said in bed. On top of that, there are a ton of awesome games on the Switch, especially for the family like Mario, etc, so it could be used for you and the family.

DOOM 2016 was entertaining but it was lacking dodges in my opinion, so when I saw DOOM ETERNAL having dodges I yelled "FU** YEAH!!!" and it have much more great stuff, which makes it even better than I though. The only idea that I have in mind that DOOM slayer could also rebounce from the walls, that would make the game a little more better for using environment around you.
