Thanks! Loved the included mistakes. Makes it real. Just days ago I installed the eufy Home Base 3 system with dual camera doorbell and five S330 cameras. I’m still watching videos like yours, searching to discover tweaking nuances for best efficiency. For example, I didn’t know the base unit could be disconnected from the router and placed elsewhere, until viewing your video. Somehow I missed that. Thanks again!

Totally agree. A major plus is that they included the mistakes they made during installation. Everyone should get into the habit of doing that. Its very helpful, and makes it more organic.

I feel soo like a blonde.. I've had my Eufy for about 2 months got a crazy deal on amazon during I think black Friday save almost $100 got a notice today my ring renewal was due (tired of paying for ring) Decided it was time to set this up. All went OK till I tried to connect the doorbell itself. would not read the QR and would not connect. just about to pull my hair out. When in doubt KZbin it. watched your video and as soon as you lifted the protective cover on the doorbell to scan the QR, God himself came down and slapped me. I looked at the doorbell and sure enough I never pealed it off. well you know the rest all set up and NO MORE FEEs !!! love it Thank you for showing pealing off the protective cover who knows how long it would of been till I noticed that.....

I am having difficult to connect when adding the doorbell. My phone, doorbell is almost touching the base and the router, and still does not connect, the Qcode graphic displays, but it does not connect, what could be. I had already elfy app installed because I have other doorbell device, this homebase I just bought because of the dual cam feature.

Your ending comments about buying this brand because there is no subscription is why I bought it. I almost bought Ring until I saw the subscription and there was a recent price increase. I don't want to subscribe to anything, I want to own it. Eufy also makes a hardwired model that doesn't require Homebase. That's what I have.

Question, how did you connect the chime? I have an old-school wired doorbell with chime, I want to replace with eufy but I am not seeing any chime unless I buy the eufy package (I have a base station already).

Hi, you have to connect the doorbell and base that are the same version to get a chime. Then you will be able to see it in the app.

There is a video saying that this homebase can be added a storage hardware(available at Amazon) that stores gigas up to tera storage and inserts easily inside this homebase. The storage device looks like those external backup for your hardware computer. Until I buy this backup storage, how I will get more storage more than 14gigas. I wonder if 14g is enough to wait for me to get home and store the footage in my extra sdcards storage in my cellphone the album. Everybody should have a camera either wired or wireless, both even better. My neighbor just caught a guy that with no reason at all scratched her car with a key, and the bad guy did in one night, and came back on the following night to do again. And the victim came to me asking my camera footage. So, now the police came after him with Sheppard German dog to arrest him. Make sure you have sd card inside the base inside your home, not on your doorbell that can be vandalized or robbed to stop footage while the bad person wants to commit crimes. Ideally is better to have a backup camera indoors in case your cam outside is damaged by the jerks. The police does that (the backup), because camera can let us down, like no sound, does not play the footage, etc.

Wi-Fi is needed to monitor the doorbell and have access to the videos on your mobile device. The wireless part is that you do not have to hardwire the doorbell unit to an electrical outlet in order for it to be powered and ring.

We have an issue with Eufy. They want to charge us $150.00 for a software update. We are NOT happy and wonder if this is the experience others are having. Our system is probably a little over 2 years old.

@@lucygarcia4164 It could be but it sure looks official. My husband went back to his history and brought it back up. It looks like the real site. I sent an email to Eufy. We saved the exact information from his history so they can check. They might be hacked.

There should not be a charge unless you are upgrading to a newer base, not updating existing software.
