I as well as many of my online friends have been using GSE since its inception. It has brought people back to wow and kept them subbed. The people who have been here since the start, way back in 1994, are older now and have had wear and tear on their bodies playing these types of games. This has caused wrist overuse syndrome and arthritis. Just like when old people can't walk the way they once did or hear the way they once did, they use aids for hearing or walking that allow them to go about their daily lives. The same can be said for gamers who use GSE. I wish Blizz saw the importance of GSE to the aging community. Instead of hearing that Blizz made changes again and has further restricted the use of GSE, maybe they should look into what GSE does and either do something in-house or at least assist and support GSE as it will become more important for many as time marches on. Thank you Oak for your support and great instructional videos regarding this addon. Oh and a big thank you to the creator(s) of GSE!

thank you for making something easy to understand.. i have read so many HELP INSTALL new GSE macros to no avail.. they are mostly confusing and difficult to understand/follow...all i can say is thank goodness i have found something finally i can understand..this is direct and to the point..and easy to understand..

Just to add also for any controller players or steamdeck/Rog users you can now use the special keybinds button to map it to one of the buttons on the controller. Tested it out earlier and works great!

Greetings Oak, thank you for the video. I am at a bit confused - I have followed the video but imported via Curseforge. I have the Elemental Shaman sequences showing in the GSE window, I have assigned keybinds (I for ST and Alt+1 for MT) but everything seems to stop there. I have cleared the relevant action bar keys, ensured that the keys are bound appropriately in Options Keybinding. The only macros showing under the Macros tab are my macros made prior to d/l GSE3, there is nothing to move onto my action bars. I understand that they are no longer macros but sequences but transferring the sequences to my bars is problematic. If I pretend that the sequences are there but invisible they work but shouldnt there be some indication that they are present? So for being so long winded ...

That is correct. You have to directly keybind it.

I imported the macro (from lazy macros) and did the keybind as you stated in your video but it's not showing up under my character specific macro list within GSE. Any feedback on how to get it to show up within GSE? Note: the macro works but does not show up on the list within GSE

It wont show up there. That is only a mirror of your /macro list to help in exporting those macros. For GSE to work, there will no longer be macros for each sequence, they have to be directly keybound.

@@oakensoul Many thanks for the quick reply. I did like in the previous GSE you could see what spell was next for casting as the icons would cycle through everytime you spammed. Probably just an OCD behavior on my part. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I did a bm hunter from 1-70 in retail, it was flawless! Last night i Made a ret paladin on panda remix and i have problems. The ST Macro dident work because i had crusase strike and not templar yet, atleast thats what i think is causing issues. Do you have a sequence for ret before templar? I tryed changing all lines with templar to crusade but the only things going of is Blade of Justice, crusade strike and the finisher. Judgment for example only works on the AE version. I plan on just stickning with it til i get Templar but it would be cool if it could work as smooth as the bm hunter did Thank you

Most spell names will translate to their lower level counterparts. It's things like consecration where at higher levels you'd likely have the talent that makes BoJ drop it instead of having to manually drop it. You wont find it in my max level sequence. In situations like that, just add a block for that spell and you should be golden.

@@oakensoul Im not sure what the problem is, im level 35 now and i deleted the sequence and downloaded it again but dident help. I feel like it gets stuck and not using all spells like it should. Bummer really. Bm hunter Macro on retail is still solid.

Having to keybind the secuences is very inconvenient, i saw a macro somewhere that had a /click to use the secuence but idk how it works

Its a bit of a pain. It's just YEARS of used to our old way. Once we get used to it, Won't be a big of a deal anymore. That being said. I raided tonight with it on retail. I was #3 in DPS all night. (Guild used to get on my ass with my shit DPS. - lol) They was bragging on me. LOL

Oh, I get it. I did make a tutorial to do a /click version. But in hindsight, there are so many things that can go wrong when trying to build a sequence that way I wouldn't suggest any longer.

Sorry if this sounds dumb. But I'm utterly confused and quite annoyed about this. I know it's my fault though. I've got a sequence, I've unbound the Q key to use it for the sequence. I've added a key bind with the sequence and the Q key but it is still not working at all. I don't know what is going on. Im following your exact instructions and still nothing seems to be working. Please can someone help me this is so frustrating

@@oakensoul Yeah I don't really know either. Sorry. I did try the discord but no help just yet. I even changed to it scroll up and down to see if that made any difference but it just seems like the game isn't registering that I've got a gse sequence at all and im just pressing an empty keybind

MS is very subjective depending on many factors. I recommend trying different speeds till you find the one that works best for you.

If you use software to make a press and hold key, then yes, you can press and hold.

GSE or Gnome Sequencer has been around since Mists of Pandaria. It is a legitimate addon and follows the guidelines set forth by Blizzard.

The changes made going into The War Within do not appear to be directly related to anything GSE was doing. It appears to be changes made due to private auras and controversy with the race to world first. Unfortunately, GSE was caught in the crossfire, as well as MANY other addons that have had to adapt around the changes. As far as account actions, people on wowlazymacros have told stories for a long time, but I have not seen a single verifiable account of account actions from blizzard. It doesn't mean they can't turn around and decide otherwise one day. However, GSE or Gnome Sequencer have been around since MoP and is still going strong.
