Thank you! I actually don't neutralize Bountiful Baby kits! The color they use is the perfect base in my opinion. However, I have not used their new pink-ish vinyl which would need neutralized.

The small jars last for many dolls! I bought my small jars three years ago and have only needed to repurchase a few colors. A little goes a long way with these paints!

I'm a reborn artist and I'm kinda a germaphobe/hate getting things on my skin so I use gloves when I'm painting, I also wanted to say that if your worried about the paint fumes I looked it up and genesis paint isn't toxic it even says it on the containers, (I was worried the first time I used it too.)

The paint thinner is toxic and vinyl releases toxic fumes when baked, so you do have to be careful! I've tried using gloves and find it hard to paint details with them on so I don't worry about it anymore and just make sure to not touch the doll.

Air dry paint does not move like oil paints. Heat set paint is oil based and its easier to blend, move around, or fix any mistakes. As long as you don't bake it, anything is fixable.

Hello , whay kind of matte varnish are you using since we are all having trouble getting ahold of Genisis matte varnish?

Hi! I happened to buy a couple 1oz jars of matte varnish before they became hard to purchase, so I am continuing to use Genesis Matte Varnish. However, I did use RebornFX varnish when I used air dry paint and it seemed to work well.

You really should stand the head and not bake it on the side. Also cover the head with a white cotton washcloth to prevent the top from getting ruined.

The heads always melt when I bake them standing up, so baking on the side works much better for me. Thanks for the tip! I love learning about how different everyone's process is.
