You can hit the cruise control switch a couple of times until it reaches 700 rpm. In that setting, you can idle all night in freezing weather if you have to.

What about the passenger airbag? You know, if Volvo makes the passenger airbag for all of their Volvo trucks, then the passenger will be safe, the passenger wouldn't be safe without an airbag for the passenger side.

I don’t agree with lower cost repair

This review is about nothing: a lots of talk about plastic and very general review for a trucker that has no knowledge about trucks. As a Volvo owner I can tell and tell very objectively(used to own and drive Freightliner Columbia), drives quieter and that is the only pros, all rest of them only cons and he did not mention of-course: short wheelbase, usually as short as 209inc to 215inc vs Fr Columbia - 235-240inc, truck is very unstable on wind roads, you better slow down when taking turns or you may very easily end up in a ditch, Volvo engine is weak do to lower torque as compare to cumming engine, not good choice if one going to drive on roads with lots of uphills, all this "gorgeous plastic crap" going to start rattle over time and annoy so bad that one would preferred road noise over it, spots where plastic meets metal parts make horrible squeaky sound - steering wheel column, dashboard, even cup holders etc. And last but not the least thing that no sales man going to mention to you - lots of plastic parts and a "million" of sensors that do brake often and cost a fortune to replace it. This is my experience after 6 years driving Volvo and comparing it to Freightliner Columbia("shaker") which i drove for 5 years, but choice is yours.

Not to mention that if it has to go into the shop, good luck getting it fixed in a timely manner. And very expensive to fix. A lot of Freightliner shops are open 24/7.
