Great video Chuck. I'll be doing my second autocross event (1st in my STI) and this will definitely help better prepare me. I'm going to do things a little different though. The day before, I will have Indian food for lunch and Taco Bell for dinner. The day of, I will have a large iced coffee and steel cut oats for the fiber. Just in case the going gets tough and the feeling is unbearable, I will be wearing my favorite shoyoroll gi so I think twice before I tap out and crap myself. This will be the ultimate test to see how well I can perform while I'm prairie dogging. :)

+DoctaM3 I really appreciate the support and input! The countless hours of "free entertainment" I've received from your channel has been very influential in my decision to try this whole youtube thing out. Your support of other fellow car enthusiasts doesn't go unnoticed! Thank you!

Great to see that you help out aspiring channels. You truly are a great guy for helping our friend Chuck grow; he has great potential. Maybe one day he will join you and the other KZbinrs for some awesome events in the future.

- The best source for finding AX's is motorsportreg.com. - Check the policy of the organizer before bringing friends. Some allow them, most don't allow anyone who isn't driving or volunteering. If someone really wants to tag along, every organization always needs people to help with registration, etc. - DON'T bring your dog, it's not a "day in the park", it's a day on an open parking lot with no shade, no other dogs, no place to play ball.

Chuck, it was a ton of fun autocrossing with you this weekend. Your channel is pure gold man. Love it. I will try to upload a private video of your car running this weekend as soon as I can.

+Brian Battocchi Hey Brian, great meeting you too man! I've got the videos saved off on my computer I just need to get to the editing and such. I'll probably get them up tomorrow night and send you a link. They are not the greatest since you can really only see half the lot, but they may be useful in a future vid. I'll try and give your channel a shout out in the next vid to get people to check out your stuff, rally cross looks sweet! But might be too brutal for my cars!
@BrianBattocchi9 жыл бұрын
+T-WRX Sounds good. Same goes with my vids of your car from autocross. I will def give you channel a shout out as well. Frankly, your channel is way more awesomeness entertainment. I don't blame you. Rallycross is really tough on the cars, and your cars are both nice. Can't wait to see your upcoming videos!

+Brian Battocchi Sorry I didn't respond to this sooner, the link made it go into my "Likely Spam" folder and I didn't notice it. Just downloaded it, video looks great! Exhaust is louder than I thought! Let me know when you are done with mine as well and I'll pull it down.

Lots of nice information for a NFG...much appreciated (a guy who recently purchased a Porsche 997.1 TT MT and will be doing his first PCA AX in January....yes I live in Florida:) If I could ask a question, I haven't yet figured out heel and toe down shifting, how important is that at AX?
@chuckjim82819 жыл бұрын
Thanks for this video, answered all my questions about autocross. So do you prefer to do the WRX because of the AWD or the M3 cause that's your track car? (And if you have ever done a head-to-head which was faster?)
@TWRX_Chuck9 жыл бұрын
+Chuck Jim Good question, I actually always like to drive the M3 at motorsports events. Only because I drive the WRX everyday and its nice to use the "Toy" car as intended. I'm mainly taking it on Sunday to help show that your daily driver is perfectly acceptable to take to an autocross! In the past I would only drive the WRX at events if it was poor weather, AWD and I had a miata that I couldn't fit in with the roof down and a helmet on :( I've never done a head to head but I bet the WRX is faster in a straight line and the M3 would probably dominate on the track, it has much better rubber and the suspension is beastly. Thanks for the support!
@dr.alexchang5 жыл бұрын
Nice video. Puppy wins a like and sub from me, but probably best to bring a human friend first before puppy because some events could be difficult to juggle taking care of the driving, working, and puppy.
