Young avengers doesn't imply just children, just younger people then the older main avengers. No reason why some of them cannot be very young adults in their early 20s. They are still young and inexperienced

Yeah Kate is already a young adult. Even in the Children's Crusade comic run, Kate turns 21 by the end of it! Still she is classified as a Young Avenger.

Yeah... Champions makes more sense than Young Avengers at this point in time if they want to include older characters. If Young Avengers comes in 2027, Hailee Steinfeld (Hawkeye), Kathryn Newton (Stature), Dominique Thorne (Iron Heart) will all be in their thirties in 2027.

Even though the movie “the new mutants” was lacking under the title of “champions” could open it up for a few of them to be reintroduced like Illyana Rasputin, Kittle Pride, Sunspot etc. St the end of the movie could have a post credits scene of them meeting Charles Xavier.

I know and understand why Marvel is slowing down production on these projects, but I honestly feel like it's the wrong move. Marvel needs to spend the money to expand. The quality dropped not because they were too much to quickly, but because they didn't have the proper infrastructure to handle doing all these things at once. 1) They need to hire a team of about 5-10 people whose sole job is to keep track of the MCU continuity. No scripts/plans can start production without a signoff from this team saying that there are NO inconsistencies with pre-established lore or canon. 2)Feige is not a spring chicken. He needs to start, if he hasn't already, training his replacement. The is true for all the top level executives at Disney. 3)Disney needs a in-house CGI/SFX Team. They ILM for practical effects, they need to buy or build one for digital effects. They need more actual studio lots and production teams to run them all. Spend the money on stuff that will actually benefit them. Use the internet to track down content creators and pay them for their ideas and concept. I know of several KZbinrs who would make great writers, visual and storyboard artist, video editors, and the like who have a passion for all the different IPs like, Marvel, Star Wars, and Pixar. They could build their teams with out with them. If they had've taken this approach a few years ago, then having 5 years between projects might not be so common, and child actors growing up wouldn't be as big of an issue.

The 'Young Avengers' name doesn't really mean they need to be under 20 or something. It's more the question of where they started and how we look at them that matters. For example in the Children's Crusade comic run, Kate Bishop starts at 20 but turns 21by the end of it. But also Peter Parker is more of an Avenger than a Young Avenger, even though he's younger than Kate in some comic issues because that's how we view him. Even Noh-Varr is 21, turning 22 in the Civil War: Young Avengers/Runaways comic. It all just depends on the creative stand point and audience's view.

They will have a series first titled Champions before getting a movie to test if this will be great to be a movie since a lot of fans have been saying no immediately when it was announced! This show should be right after Doomsday, Kid Loki will be a great main villain of Champions and then they could end it when they find Iron Lad leading to Secret Wars!

I think they don't want to use "Young Avengers" because they fear that some may think it is a kids movie. Champions also works and I wouldn't be surprised if they do refer to themselves as "Young Avengers" as a joke. I also feel that 'Vision Quest' will be that throughline to connect some of these dots. He is the one that brings together these heroes, similar to Fury. I don't think we will get a Wiccan show, but Vision Quest will be that third and final chapter for Disney+ Wanda/Vision series. There is a lot of talk of the mother but not the father. "The Children's Crusade" could be the subtitle for the movie and be adapted/modified. Franklin Richards replaces Iron Lad and adding Viv Vision into the fold.

Champions is a good idea for a title but I think the cross over from D+MU and MCU could work well with intro's on the D+MU and getting into the action on the big screen, keeping the exposition on the small screen keeps the popcorn feel in the theaters.

I would more enjoy a Marvel Champions movie than a show cause Disney takes 2 minutes on intros and 7-8 minutes on ending credits with no extra scenes on their shows so you never get a full length show so I think we'd get more in a movie than in the shows and I'd really like to see the X-men and Avengers mash up soon!!

I'm thinking something along the lines of the OG Avengers film. A 1 hr setup, with a small 45-55 min fight scene at the end. Similar to how the Chitauri portal fight was only the last 30-40 mins of that film. 🤔

Man. The idea of young avengers doesn’t excite me at all. Like it’s awesome for those who are looking forward to it, I hope it’s good and it’s okay that you live the idea. But if they end up with a team of kid version of Iron-Man, captain marvel, hawk-eye etc. that just feels so derivative to me. I really hope marvel is able to recapture their magic. I’m rooting for FF. And I hope thunderbolts and Brave New World surprise me.
