Hey! This is the start of my new doll makeover series, "Fixing Dolls That Need Help"! I'll be fixing, cleaning, and restoring secondhand dolls that need help! I bought a doll lot of thrift store dolls online, and in this video, I'm fixing 9 of them! The main doll I fixed was a Ken Fashionistas Ryan doll (Rusty Ryan). I needed my Ryan character in my Life with Barbie series to have a different hairstyle in the next episode, so I gave him a partial reroot! Hey, a small tip with the acne cream treatment. I would wrap the dolls in clear plastic food wrap to keep the acne cream from drying out on the stain when you put them out in direct sunlight. This helps speed up the process since destaining plastic you need the "greenhouse" effect to draw the stain out, and keeping the cream wrapped up means it doesn't dry out as quickly so you don't need to replace the cream as often on the doll.

SAME! I always get thrown off by the thick neck and lack of articulation on the male dolls. That and that they usually came with plastic hair when I was a kid. That face sculpt in a vacuum was easier to notice lol

I absolutely love this Ryan. I always get confused between Ryan and Ryder in the Life with Barbie series. Since this Ryan has a different hairstyle, it would be easier for me to tell Ryan and Ryder apart. This Ryan just looks amazing.

I loved how all the dolls came out. I recently bought a Hula Hair Christie who's hair is a mess. Since Christie is so rare I bought her anyway (she was the one I was missing from the set) and can't wait to work on her hair. I still have to buy her outfit, if I can come across one which is, like the doll, rare to find. I like using conditioner too. I've tried fabric softener but I don't feel it works as well as conditioner.

I was really blown away by your retro inspired intro! I loved the idea and you executed it perfectly. Your dolls turned out lovely.
