I will just say one thing, as Disney may have said GOTG:CR is $500M, I can garentee you that is not true. Disney doesn't usually false advertise or lie that I know of but this ride DEFINITELY doesn't cost that much. In fact, there is no way it cost more than 150 - 200 million at ABSOLUTE most. Hagrids has more expensive as a total rode, more complex, more money spent in themeing, more to operate, more to maintain, there us no way Guardians is more expensive than Hagrids and most people would understand that.

Yeah Disney said it. But you gotta remember, Disney also paid the guardians cast to film scenes for it, the SFX/GFX artists for the scenes, and the fact it’s an indoor coaster is an extra cost

@@EverythingExplainedd not necessarily, it’s just a warehouse with a projector and a couple props here and there there is far less theming than hagrids, I’d say that it would be slightly more expensive than rockin rollercoaster

I have to agree that there is definitely something very fishy about the 500M price for that. I mean I guess if you count demo of the old building interior and paying actors. And add cost of advertising and press events. And then add in the cost to fly corporate executives in every time they did a walk through. Ect. But as has been said, it’s mainly a spinning coaster with projectors and screens all around. Look at the videos out of it with the lights on. Not much there. I think Disney just wanted to have that title of having the most expensive coaster back from universal to be honest. And personally I think hagrids is so much better it’s not even close.

*CORRECTION* I must hold my hands up and admit I missed: - Orion ($30m) - Eejanaika ($31.8m) - Shambhala ($34.5m) - Revenge of the Mummy ($40m) - Verbolten ($54m) There are also other rides people have mentioned, such as VelociCoaster which would likely be on this list but as noted at 10:09 , if I could not find a confirmed figure I didn’t want to add it, aka Red Force If you do a simple google search for ‘most expensive roller coasters’ you’ll see how badly wrong all the articles are! I will rectify this in the new year with a new video. Apologies for missing some in this.

For anyone wondering, millennium force, the coaster in the thumbnail, is not 500m. That award goes to hagrids motorbike adventure at islands of adventure. Millie costs 25m

Hagrid's not only expensive due to themeing, but also due to the new ride system that was developed for this specific coaster. The multiple launches aside, at one point, the ride drops into a whole other track.

Carowinds is my home park, so I've been on Fury 325 many times. Can confirm, it's the best coaster I've ever ridden. I also visited Kings Dominion earlier this year and rode I-305, but I blacked out on the first turn (hahaha) and don't really remember much of it, although it was still awesome!

This is a good video, but the Cosmic Rewind price is one I don’t trust. I don’t think the Cosmic Rewind price Disney brags about is entirely true. The building may have been expensive, but I doubt it cost more than Hagrid’s.

Jubilee Odyssey, now know as, The Odyssey, at Fantasy Island in Ingoldmells, England. Built by Vekoma in 2002. Cost £28 million. That would have been around $47 million dollars in 2002

Nothing wrong with that but do try to make sure your accurate. Watch other coaster videos and pull from other sources. Sorry not trying to sound mean, but coaster people get VERY defensive about their hobby. Noticed you have made a few coaster vids and wanted to inform you. Again though, nice editing and the video is put together well

So I had to use other sources including a video with nearly 1 million views by Theme Park Crazy. I think I wouldve saved myself alot of small errors if I just did a top 10! Thank you! This was my 3rd and final roller coaster video I had planned so maybe it will be the last. I do enjoy making them tho :)
