He might have cheated on her while she was pregnant idk but I know it was their third child and that had to hurt knowing you have theee kids and one is a newborn and you’re now getting divorced from a man you’ve been with your whole life! Thank God she found Blake! You can tell he really lit her world back up and she deserves it! And so does he! I doubt it. Tony likely realised that the pressures of touring and having your significant other playing a huge part in the band would mean never feeling like they had a normal life. With a wife outside the band he can return to some sense of normalcy once off the road. I suppose he had some idea of how ambitious Gwen was and maybe she had voiced her dreams of collaborating with other artists, developing clothing lines and perhaps solo work. Also, with your wife a major player in the band there is no seperation. Literally no where to go if they were to hit a rough patch and started bickering. Gwen seems happy involved in any number of things at once where Tony probably really desired a normal low key life off the road. He may have felt they could end up blowing their friendship and with band success riding on them all getting along and being close he did not want to risk it. I'm sure he has much love for Gwen and was looking past the short term pain he caused and valued continuity over the long haul. I think he likely discussed all these concerns with Gwen and imparted to her all these thoughts. Remember, they were still up and coming but far from set at that time. I'm also sure he did not want to leave the band but offered as a show of respect to Gwen. I'm sure their bond is very special. More puzzling is Eric's bowing out. Maybe he has his reasons. Everyone is not cut out for the grind of touring. Just ask Brian Wilson. Eric may have envisioned writing songs for the band. Either alone or in conjunction with Gwen and earning in that way. I imagine as band founder he has not been left behind in sharing the wealth if he has in fact contributed in generating material. I really don't know how life has played out for him.
