Sam is partially correct about someone else singing for Scar: Jeremy Irons hurt his voice doing the "You won't get a sniff without me" line in Be Prepared so Jim Cummings took over. At least, that's what I've read in comments on videos of the song.

I just looked up how the other villains work and a lot of them have really interesting mechanics. My two favourites right now are Ratigan, who has one shot at completing his main objective and goes feral and switches to "Defeat Basil" if it fails, and Yzma, who has to defeat Cuzco with Kronk... the catch is that Kronk is prone to switching sides. The videogame fan in me can seriously imagine a Master Xehanort expansion. His goal is convoluted enough to be an objective in a game like this. It would be something like: "Have 13 Strength worth of Allies and 13 Strength worth of Heroes at the Keyblade Graveyard, then play Kingdom Hearts." Alternatively, he works like Ratigan in that if something goes wrong with his main goal, he splits into Ansem and Xemnas, who each have their own goals. (Ansem would be "have all locations fall to darkness", Xemnas would be "control 13 vessels")

My favorite part about this game is how quick it can get you into character. I was playing Izma, and when the other players drew from my fate deck they kept playing Pacha's children to my board which have this really annoying effect that makes it impossible to vanquish other heroes until they're gone, and BOY WAS I FRUSTERATED. THESE ANNOYING CHILDREN. THEY KEEP GETTING IN MY WAY! Oh shit ... I really know how Izma feels now 😂

His ice titan also should have been trapped when it moved onto Zeus, as Zeus hadn't been vanquished yet. And Taliesin technically shouldn't have been able to kill Mufasa, since Simba was out nerfing his hyenas. But, as the chatbot command says, pobody's nerfect! They all had a really fun time playing the game, which is way more important than getting everything 100% rules lawyered correct, hahaha.

It gives the rest of the players a chance to fate them and try to stop them from winning. Hades is also incredibly hard if people are knowledgeable on how it all works. There were a few rules and conditions here that were missed. But overall it was a great game.

For people learning the game at 13:25 The card Whisper says "Choose a card from your FATE discard pile" not your deck discard pile .So he couldn't grab and replay Long Live The King on that turn. Also the location he is at regardless only allows 2 actions. Both of the previous cards were actions so the second Long Live the King could not have been played even if Whisper allowed it. Meaning Tal shouldn't have been able to get Mufasa from the Fate deck that turn. It's their first time so its whatever but make sure to read the cards carefully to avoid accidents like this. I've been playing this game with friends and family since last week and it's awesome definitely recommend giving it a try!

Just to be clear, Patrick Page plays Hades in Hadestown. He does have a fantastic voice, which I had the privilege to hear live, not in Hadestown, but in Deaf West's Spring Awakening on Broadway. He was also in the La Jolla/Papermill Playhouse production The Hunchback of Notre Dame, which I HIGHLY suggest you listen to. This is the Holy Patrick Page Trinity and, honestly, if you're not listening to them, what are you doing? There isn't a cast recording for DWSA, but, you know, you can find bits around.

Nala is Simbas childhood friend and mate, Sarabi is Simbas Mother and Mufasas mate. Sirabi is also the one lion who openly was against Scar during his reign, but still compiled to most of his bidding with much disgust. And no, Nala was the one coming to Scar to beg for food, that scene should have lead to Scar singing a song to say he wants Nala as his queen but that got cut because it would be wierd later on. (Scar being Simbas uncle and so)

Also, spontaneously bursting out into any kind of disney song that's in their head. Amazing. Also, in summary: Taliesin is the best villain because he tricks the others to play into his actions. Fun fact, when Sam and Ashley we're talking about Lion King Broadway at 13:20 Taliesin unintentionally cheated because he used whispers to play long live the king from his discard to get mufasa when whispers is actually you play a card from your fate discard pile and mufasa wasn't in discard.

I played this a few months ago. It was fun, although we had the feeling that you have play this multiple times to really understand the strenghts and weaknesses of each villain. The artwork is gorgeous though. It's really nice to look at.

Imma be *that* guy and point out Sam cheated on 34:51 , on that space he was only allowed one card play; Stratos. Secondly, it says specifically on Hades' chariot that he cannot use it to play Fate actions. Then on a future turn when he moved the Ice titan on Zeus before he vanquished him it should have sealed it first. Also, they still had one more turn. Since Hades' victory condition is AT THE START of his turn. Taliesin couldn't have even played that guard because the primary effect of the curse which is Hero's with 4 or less strength cannot be played on that cursed area. Ashley actually had the best chance to win with all things said and done with how those last few turns panned out. Still super loved this video.

Don't use the term cheated they simply are new at game. Misplays happen especially when you are trying to entertain an audience and learn the game for the first time. For example at 13:25 Tal did a huge misplay playing 3 cards and also he played the card Whisper incorrectly and managed to sneak out Mufasa very early into the game. Compared to Sam's misplay getting Mufasa that early is insane.

@@RedX753 That's fair, definitely a few misplays, but Taliesin did catch his misuse of Whisper the next turn. He was still the most plays away from his victory condition needing at least 3 power in Allies to beat Nala who would be the last Hero in his fate deck. Was it Matt off screen for rule delegation?

At 8:53 Ashley technically messed up. The Move action only lets you move something to an adjacent location, you can't skip ahead two spaces. If you could, Hades's objective would be much easier. And at 46:00, she didn't have to discard the Spinning Wheel. She could have kept it and kept collecting power tokens for everything she killed. And at 50:00, Sam really screwed up big time 😂 First, the hydra's ability means you don't discard it when it dies, you just put it back in your hand, so he could have kept that. And second, he moved the titan into Zeus's location when Zeus was still there, so that titan would have been trapped before he killed Zeus. There were a few other mistakes, but most importantly: Sam didn't win yet. Hades's goal is to *start the turn* with all the titans in Mt. Olympus. So he wouldn't have won unless he could have kept them there until the start of his next turn.

Thanks, it was a lot of fun while someone cheated unknowingly. It's understandable. It's still fun to watch this fun match. @34:48 you are playing a titan, you cannot play yet another card (effect card) later in that turn to untrap that trapped titan. That location only has one play a card. You also cannot perform Fate action when you arrived that new location with that item.

It's sad that they didn't step in with the rules at the end and say "Actually it's at the beginning of your turn..." because they were already having too much fun, throwing cards, etc. Because I think Ashley would have won on her next turn, and they could have pushed Hades back a little.
