I saw the title page and was expecting the Etf to be the total market Etf. I was ready to suggest an alternative, the s&p 500 etf but you guys were on top of it already lol. S&P 500 Etf is one of the greatest tools for long term wealth creation available today, setting up an automatic monthly purchase and automatically investing the dividends back into the Etf is a great wealth creation method. I believe some investment firms will bypass minimum requirements if you sign up for auto monthly purchases, 50 to 100 dollars depending on which firm. Agree over the years compounding interest will be like pushing a little snowball down a hill full of snow, , by the time it reaches the bottom its no longer a little ball but a giant bolder , the effect that compounding interest will have on your investment will be similar to how your little snowball became a giant boulder. Id suggest to try to make it a monthly thing that way when the market goes down the strategy will benefit from this. Also you can start with what you can afford and increase it as the years go on,

The amount I’ve learned from following your channel in the last few months is amazing. Will be buying your software soon! What I would suggest you teach to your followers is how important it is to use a brokerage that allows you to buy partial shares of ETF’s. Many folks can’t part with 400-500 at a time, but they can do 50. If they can only do 50, and can’t buy SPY/VOO it can lead to buying stupid investments. Taken from personal experience…..0.005 of SPY is better than 1 of SOFI, am I right? 😂

Thanks Paul. Love that you brought up as it pertains to dividends- you'd pay more in taxes if your money IS NOT in an IRA. many people don't realize it- dividend investing is amazing if you have a tax free account, but in a standard trading account- you don't want to register constant income as the taxes will eat you alive. VOO/SPY are wonderful avenues for normal people who just buy & hold.

Tasty trade would say pick an options contract 45 days to expiration with a 16 delta and sell when the contract has lost half or more than half it’s value. If you’re just trying to squeeze out a few extra percent a year then going with a much lower delta is a good idea as was the case in the video. SPY is probably the most liquid ETF for options. Also if your shares get called away in a tax protected account, you won’t have to pay taxes. If you know how to do the math to look at probabilities over time, you know that the chances of never getting your shares called away is pretty low. That’s why I mentioned trading options in a retirement account.

VTI & VOO are both great options. The performance difference between them is negligible. I have 100% of my investments in VTI, and I sleep well at night. I'd feel the same if I had 100% of my investments in VOO. I chose VTI because I listened to The Simple Path To Wealth by Jim Collins audio book (he talks about the mutual fund VTSAX, but VTI is essentially the ETF version of the same thing). Essentially what I learned from that book was that investing in the market instead of trying to beat it is super simple, and takes almost no brainpower. With extra brain energy, it's easier to live life w/o worrying about finances all the time.

It depends on when you start and when you retire. Between 2000 and 2013 the S&P500 went up and down between two peaks. So yes if you keep buying every month then you will grow your money but if you used lump sum you would have not gained anything in 13 years. And actually lost because of inflation.

Correct...and that is why you ought to buy every month. Don't even look at it, just make an automatic payment... TBH over the long term you will make profit in any case, unless you buy everytime at the top. It's just historical data...can't argue with that. Thanks for the note - GC

Would love to see a video on getting to retirement before 65. Corporate America has brainwashed people into thinking that 65 is the age of freedom, that if you just keep giving your life until that age, you’ll finally be free. Your health can take a substantial hit after 50, who knows if you’ll even make it to 65. People need to start thinking about getting to financial freedom faster so they can enjoy life while they’re physically able to.

Age 65 is common retirement in many countries not just the US. The life expectancy is around 83 in many western countries although in US it is the high 70s. There is no brainwashing going around; if you want to retire early then you will have to invest earlier along with making more while spending less. Pretty simple math formula. Investing in the S&P every month will help your cause. If your health starts failing after 50 well that's just either fate or your poor lifestyle habits. Either way you need to prepare to live until 90s and up. My grandpa lived healthy to 100.

Personally, I think investors will start to seek more market diversification. can i confidently invest about $3m into the financial markets in 2024? I'm still not sure how rates will effect the market just yet, which worries me a lot.

Is Paul saying that you always win on cover calls? I know many people who have study options and do cover calls and of course there is no guarantee that you will win as you may have already figured out.
