Honestly the fact that bakugous character development is based around him realizing that he isn't the best, he won't ever be the best, and there will be things that can hurt him, while also giving him the support he needs from his peers, allowing him to know that he is allowed to be weak, that he can ask for help, and help others, is something so special to me. The idea that this kid, who was raised by the people that surrounded him to believe that he was something untouchable, realizing his flaws and instead of allowing it to beat him down, he adds it as fuel to the fire to keep him going. It's a great character arc I'm so happy with where he's going.

His dad actually wanted to become a hero, but his quirk wasn't really made for it. So he got a different job. It was a fashion industry job. He met his wife there, who aggressively hit on him, until he eventually dated her ect xD.

@@cloudyceo4708 It can be hard to believe that Bakugou is abused because his mother understood Bakugou. She also let him live in the dorms because she noticed that Aizawa understood him too. However, at the end of the day, we cannot deny that she smacked Bakugou. He even mentioned in season 4 episode 16 that violence is necessary to discipline kids and that it was how he was raised. Violence isn’t a good choice for discipline. It can give children the message that smacking or hitting other people is an OK way to deal with strong feelings. Children who are smacked can be more aggressive than children who aren’t smacked. They’re more likely to have a challenging behavior, anxiety, or depression. There are better ways than smacking to guide your children towards good behavior. So I think that it is reasonable to say she is an abusive parent. I also noticed that Bakugou's father is more on the quiet side so I personally think he just let it happen. I'm an anime fan that only watched 4 seasons so there should be stuff that I didn't mention.

Bakugo as a kid who was always praised and thought himself to be the best was suddenly faced with the fact that he won't always be strong and Midoriya reaching out to help him when he fell into the river. He thought Midoriya was looking down on him for being weak and hated him for a long time until he had to face multiple failures (i.e. losing first fight against Midoriya, Kamino incident, not passing the provisional license exam the first time around) before realizing he had to acknowledge he won't always be strong, he won't always get it right and that it's okay to be vulnerable and ask for help.

I wouldn't say it's like that. Ever since he was little everyone boasted about his power, so much so that he started to believe it himself. He doesn't act like he has a huge ego he *does* have a huge ego. He has a god complex. And his whole thing with Deku was that Bakugo truly believed he was untouchable and the greatest, so whenever Deku, someone he saw as weaker and below him, always rushed to help him Bakugo saw it as if Deku either expected him to fail and thought he was weak/on equal footing with him. Example, when he fell in the water. He knew he was fine and everyone else knew he was fine, but Deku rushed in to help him. He thought "this quirkless nobody believes that I'm not special or strong like everyone else and that I'm weak enough to need help from someone like him". And that rocked Bakugo to his core because it would bring self doubt. Since he has such a huge ego he saw everyone around him as useless, but as the series progresses he begins to chip away at his ego and become more reasonable/compassionate.

I remember i got so pissed when everyone i the crowd bullied Bakugo. He didn't hold back for anyone else yet when it's a girl they accuse him for not going easier. She is amazingly strong willed and has a powerful quick. Gender shouldn't be a reason to hold back. I felt so sorry for him and Ururaka. Imagine the embarrassment they both felt, Ururaka basically being told by her audience she's not strong enough and Bakugo getting told he's awful for fighting against his female opponent.

People say Bakugo didn’t have development just because his aggressive personality is intact. But if you look back, he really does change. Some people also say Izuku and Bakugo aren’t friends, but then Bakugo only openly cries in front of Midoriya. He even held his tears back from all might. He’s just angry lol, he’s not a bad guy. (Also personally I think he tries to hide his friendship with Deku because he might be afraid of attachment)

I think it's adorable that our little pomeranian feels comfortable opening up to our adorable cinnamon roll. Like, he never lets himself show any emotions in front of other people but has no problem letting himself vent in front of Izuku. It's adorable and I love that for them. Like, Izuku obviously still cares about Bakugo, even after everything, and in a twisted sense, Bakugo cares about Izuku as well, like, he's okay with being himself around Deku and can let himself go. He hasn't even gotten to that point with Kirishima yet (as far as I've seen, I'm too poor to stay up to date in the Manga so I have to wait for the anime).

THE WIERD THING IS when first seeing bakagou and understanding that he is a mean bully with a wrong understanding and high ego...his character aspects (sreaming at everyone etc.) Were something that frustrated me and made me hate him even more. BUT as the show went on, and he started to change and realise his issues, become a much nicer and over all better person...then the things about him and how he acts THAT USED TO PISS ME OFF i started to appreciate. I always hear bakagou lovers say how instead of disliking him for keeping his "annoying" attitude its soemthing they found nice and appreciate....soemthing they grew to love about him instead of hate. Now dont get me wrong hes still pretty annoying lol, but i think people have grown to see it differently just because of his growth as a character and person. Heck even the classmates dont care anymore because they know bakagou is a good person so they dont mind it :) DOES THAT MAKE SENCE i feel like none of that made sence 😅

I don’t hate him as much as I used to especially considering why he is the way he is. A big fish in a small pond being told time and time again your the best, to then get hit with the long arm of reality. Waking up realizing you aren’t the greatest like you’ve been told your entire life. That the one moment you could’ve gotten help, was from someone that didn’t have a quirk. That ego that people had fostered his entire life shattering, and him being shown time and time again he’s not as good as he thinks. Then going from him now longer denying it, but accepting it is amazing writing. However He’s still not my favorite, but his character development is still one of the best.

Bakugou manages to be my favourite character despite hardly ticking any boxes in my usual requirements for me to find a character cool. I definitely think he’s still annoying, but I absolutely love to see his character development (especially in the manga, but the ground beta fight was also a huge moment), and each time he shows that he’s grown, I love him a bit more. It’s like, knowing how shit a character is in the beginning makes each bit of progress that much more significant, and considering how fucked up Bakugou is psychologically, it makes it all the more impressive. I can’t wait to see what’s next for Bakugou (and for everyone) in the story :)

@@leonduncan3327 I think if Todoroki won, it would have made more sense. In his fight with Midorya, the whole story was about convincing Todoroki that his fire side was his, not his fathers. He finally uses it to beat Deku, and then in the finals, he decides not to use it against Bakugo? I thought that it was stupid to have him revert back to his old self after he received character development. I think they should have done the exact same thing with Deku vs Todoroki. But then, have Todoroki squash Bakugo in the finals. Todoroki wins the tournament, but, tells Endeavor that he did it for himself, not for his him. Bakugo gets a reality check that he's not as good as he thinks he is. And Deku still sparks a friendship with Todoroki since he helped him realize that his power is his own.

I used to be that kinda person so I know how he feels, he has an immense amount of pride and feels like he shouldn’t lean on anyone for companionship in order to not seem weak, the second he gets a true and unwavering friend and accepts them, he’ll turn into an awesome person. To me, bakugo is the example of a kid with alot of pressure and admiration, and taking it too deeply to heart to the point of being aggressive. He has a quirk that his kindergarten teachers praised as strong, kids adored him. And when deku didn't get any, it was the pressure between strongest and weakest and took it the wrong way. He wanted to be the best, and wanted to constantly prove it. To the point where he bullied his childhood best friend because hus other friends got a positive reinforcement to it(notice in the younger flashbacks, bakugo starts mistreating deku when he has other kids at his back) and it slowly morphed into a habit for him. It's a case,in my understanding, of unlearning violence. Bakugo learned more about deku, and about his own faults. He blamed himself for hurting his hero, he felt awful having to be saved by deku instead of the other way around. And after he finally broke down and told deku everything, that he blames himself, he shifts. He is still gruff and almost rude to deku, but there is now nee context, new mind sets. Bakugo doesn't see deku as a weakling that needs to be belittled, he sees a tough rival who needs some pointers.

It was when Midoriya tried to save him during the sludge incident, that's when he actually changed. Coincidentally, that was also the day Bakugo told him to swan dive off of a roof. So possibly, he maybe regretted saying that to him? When Bakugo walked past Midoriya on the exam day, he only said "stupid Deku," didn't even tried to hurt him and/or mock him like you'd think he'd do. He was more quiet. The character development started THAT day.

@@Deadwatch-gi2xc I think he doesn't idolize Bakugo the usual way, like how he idolizes All Might, Deku sees everything bad about him, but chooses to focus on things that he can't, but Bakugo, being of the same age, on the same lvl, can, he chooses to see the best parts of him and tries to catch up to that, so he can learn and grow himself

because he realized deku actually cared. seems like most people cant put up with his personality and whatever. but when no one was helping him during that incident w the villian he realized deku was there for him. i have a feeling it made him realize that he would always be there for him. and throughout the series it became apparent. then, bakugou understood it even more to protect him. and deku also said in the beginning “ever since that day kacchan never bothered me again” or something along those lines. and in the second movie bakugou cared so much abt deku. he didnt even want to take one for all bc he was concerned that if he did, deku would lose the power. also what was rlly interesting was during one of the fights, im pretty sure against class 1B he said multiple times to his classmates “ill always protect you guys”. even if he said it in his angry manner he still meant it. i think deku is amazing for bakugou. and he sees that. bc he opened his eyes to a new aspect of being a hero and it’s helped him improve sm and deep down bakugou will forever acknowledge that and return the favor to everyone else and deku. he also saw the way he never gave up and admired that. so in some kind of sense, that day, bakugou never directly picked on deku ever again bc he realized he may have been rude to him all his life but deku would never want to see him struggle. and then came all the times bakugou returned that favor. i think thats whats really amazing

Well I think he just got used to it since all his friends called him that too when they were little, however, I heard that "chan" is used for girls and if you call a boy by his name with the "chan" at the end (like Izuku does when he calls Bakugo Katchan) he'll take it in a bad way (for kids it's ok but like for a grown boy), so I kinda find it weird he doesn't mind but maybe I'm just mistaken or something🤷🏻‍♀️

@@denkikaminari1268 bakugo probably just doesn't care at this point. "kacchan" was a childhood nickname, and given that bakugo isn't adverse to calling people by their childhood nicknames (or other embarrassing nicknames), I doubt he'd make a fuss about it unless there was reason to be annoyed

Just because Bakugou has had a lot of character development doesn't mean he has a "sEcReT sOfT siDE". Bakugou isn't a 'softie'. Thats a fact. But he still is incredible and I love him. He will always have that explosive attitude to him and he will always want to play leader and the best. But he has definately changed from who he used to be and I am so happy about that!

Bakugo haters are people who don't grow up! They live in the past and can never move onn Clearly that guy had great character development, he knows how to conquer, save, protect, admit his mistake, apologise and move onn! He never used any wrong method to get on top, he is where he is on his own account! He bullied deku but he grew up and now is helping him! He risked his life to save him! He had gone thru alot too... I hope people stop dwelling in past and open their eyes and mind
