I hope EVGA does the same thing as NZXT and with your following EVGA cards you end up getting like 10 posters each time.

You've just helped me do my first real PC mod since I built my system by kinda watching this vid in reverse. I started with an MSI aero 1080ti, got myself the sc2 hybrid kit and now I've got myself a hybrid :) and it worked out cheaper than buying an already hybrid card here in the U.K

And lo and behold. prudent EVGA strikes again. Just an 8-pin and a 6-pin, perfect.

I am installing my card as i'm watching this in the background. The only thing i do not like about it is the radiator pipe outlets. Please EVGA put 90 degree angled/rotatable outlets on the radiator as it is difficult to make the installation look neat with the pipes coming straight out.

I have the EVGA 1080 ti hybrid SC2. the logo is not RGB. it is just a white led plate. I figured it would be RGB since I paid $800 for it but was pretty shocked it wasn't.

is it worth to buy this card=
@MrBoop43457 жыл бұрын
It really just depends on what you are upgrading from. I had a 980 ti hybrid before this. Though I will say $800 is a sucky price to pay for any video card. I run 2 cooler master high static pressure PWM fans on the radiator in push & pull. It stays a nice 45-50 degrees Celsius even on load at 2000 clock speed. It's a really nice card, but if your coming from a 1070 or a 1080 I don't know if I could recommend paying the price.

Well im building a new pc so i really dont know if its worth buying, im going to buy a 1080 TI but is it worth getting the liquid cooled one?
@MrBoop43457 жыл бұрын
This is the 2nd Hybrid card I have bought from EVGA. I really like the low temps. I am too lazy to do a custom loop and maintain it. So paying a bit extra for me isn't so bad. It really comes down to what you want out of a video card. I would definitely stick with an EVGA card for the ICX sensors. Pretty much all the ti cards are the same performance wise. Just depends on how you want to cool it.
@Gghhhhh7 жыл бұрын
did you change the fans? What about the corsair hybrid is that compairable with this one or is evga better.

Love the channel even though he seems dismayed one can just buy this card and call it a day, looking forward to hear about temps vs. fan noise. As a novice, seems like it just makes sense to get this card instead of a DIY watercooling effort, even though it's less fun.

I have one on the way. I had the 980ti and 1080 hybrid so I know what to expect for temps but I'm exited to see how it performs. it seems significantly better then even the regular 1080 especially in dx12 and higher resolutions. it seemed to me the original 1080 would give me lower fps in dx12 whereas nvidia is touting this as a dx12 optimized card.

My EVGA 1080 FTW Hybrid has an RGB LED sign saying EVGA HYBRID on side, each word on either side of the pipes. It's RGB, but doesn't have many options like say NZXT Hue+. Would be cool to have it read out the temperature, so I just have it set to white. :)

@Lexicon_7 жыл бұрын
If you're looking to liquid cool a 1080 Ti yeah, just grab a Founders Edition or one of the various Blower cards that uses the FE PCB, and get a waterblock for it. It's either that or get something like EVGA's Hydro Copper card if they even have one for the 1080 Ti yet, those come with pre installed water blocks. Several companies offer those.

Should I step up my 1080 FTW Hybrid to this one? If possible of course. Apart from 3GB or ram, what justifies the extra 200$ ?
@JERZEELOON7 жыл бұрын
Bluescobra Idk if you can step up the 1080 hybrid or to the 1080ti hybrid but if you can that's your discretion. in addition to the 3gb extra vram your looking at roughly a 10 to 15fps gain. could be more or less depending on game and resolution. the ti is probably a bit better in dx12 and higher res but if your content I'd wait. The way nvidia is pumping out cards volta will be here before you know it
@Bluescobra7 жыл бұрын
Thanks, I looked at the bandwidth difference and it is quite huge. Also it seems the 1080ti uses GP102 instead of GP104, that's why I wonder if there is really a big gap between the two. I guess I will wait to see if people make comparison or benchmark videos.

something i never quite understood from this model and the ftw hybrid theses fans push air on the vrm but in opposite as the blower fan style does the air is also expelled from the back of the card? i mean the blower fan principle is quite obvious but this one litteraly blew air on the vrm where as the blower is more sending it outward? am i missing something?

Hi, just wondering if the review is going to be published this week at all? I'm torn between this and the Aorus which is on offer at the moment but the lower temps and hopefully near silent operation are very tempting but it does depend on your review. Thanks

I wonder why they didn't use their FTW3 1080Ti PCBs and instead went with the slightly modified FE PCB? They did this on their 1080 Hybrid, why not for the 1080Ti? This kinda bummed me, when i've seen this card appearing.
@xboxGTbenton12347 жыл бұрын
We should be expecting a FTW Hybrid 1080Ti from EVGA in the future so that would be where the FTW PCB would end up. I would assume they would make one since they've been doing it for quite a few years now

Am I the only one who questions EVGA's design choice on this card? It seems to me like it would have been better to design a custom solution rather than trying to use off the shelf parts. Or even use a design closer to Alphacool's Eiswolf all in one kits.
@purefucknmetal7 жыл бұрын
Asetek patent's on water pump design pretty much force all AIO's to use their design and pay them. Coolermaster just lost a huge lawsuit to them and owe them royalities. Its also why Fractal only just now started selling AIO's in the US. I don't think its availible for the 1080 ti yet, but EVGA does offer a custom water block fitted card (that's pre-filled) if you want to do a full custom loop.
@hafeezhamama95807 жыл бұрын
Fallschirmjager But Alphacool has two units similar to Asetek's all in ones and hasn't been sued yet. In fact, I would argue that the pump/block combo unit in the Eiswolf most resembles your typical Asetek pump/block combo unit

@vaczipeti3 жыл бұрын
have you managed to solve this? I just bought from second hand this card and i am looking forward for the replacement of the radiator fan... was not sure how to do it exactly. would appreciate any help
@Azlehria3 жыл бұрын
EVGA's Hybrid radiator fans' specs are 69.5 CFM 2.76 mm H2O 34.2 dB(A) Versus Noctua's NF-A12x25 PWM at 60.1 CFM 2.34 mm H2O 22.6 dB(A) With both running up to 2000 RPM. So Noctua is quieter, but EVGA has _better performance._ Just change the curve so the stock fan stays quiet at low load: problem solved.
