I can't get audio to work when using USB 3.0 however it works only using 2.0 Does anyone have a solution? All firmware has been updated by the way.

sorry for the late comment, just got my evga xr1 pro a few months ago. but i see i can only do 100hz or 120hz with the evga xr1 pro instead of my monitors refresh rate which is 144hz at 1080p.

2 Questions, Max Bit Rate on the recordings? Why would this device be better than lets say one that can record in 1080p 120hz / 4k 60? The price isnt bad and yes it has pass through but cant record in 1080p /120hz so you have to switch back which is tedious.

This product already feels dated/limited and it's practically brand new. Sure they work today, but the new consoles support HDMI 2.1 with support for 4K/120Hz versus HDMI2.0 4K/60Hz. The pass through mode says 1440P/120fps, but 4K is limited to 60fps which is due to the HDMI2.0 bandwidth limitation. I suppose it will work for most people now, but you'd expect to see HDMI 2.1 support so it will be ready for the new consoles & graphics cards that are already available (RTX3000 Series) and those about to launch (AMD 6000 Series). I expect they looked at the cost and decided they could sell more at a lower price point if they sold it as-is... Anyone with a 4K/120Hz monitor will want to replace it for something more powerful once you upgrade or settle for having to remove it and forego the pass through mode. Admittedly, that is a small percentage of the population, but why not give us something that is built for the future instead of yesterday's tech...

It would be nice if your capture cards would have a recording software that could be downloaded from your website like elgato. I have an elgato hd60 from a few years ago that I’m using until now with my PlayStation and their recording software is very easy and simple to use, even adding a webcam in the settings is simple. I tried obs and it’s a headache and quite a heavy program. I would like to upgrade to one of your newer capture cards but if obs is the only way to capture gameplay videos then I will have to probably buy a newer elgato unit.

@@IIC4NCELEDII You don't need a capture card for that, just download OBS. It'll capture your gameplay and record it to whatever location you choose on the same PC. You only need a capture card if you want to send the gameplay to another device, like a second PC.

I can't get this working with my PS3... shows my PS3 screen for 3-4 seconds then goes black. Nintendo Switch works fine.

@@bradyhalvorson9159 I guess we are just stuck, lol I forgot about it and it has just been sitting here collecting dust. I was going to start messing around and up load videos to KZbin but got side tracked with other things around the house. I might have to look into other programs out there that work with it instead. They really should think about changing the Advertisement to say that it may not work with OBS because it doesn't or just remove that selling point period.

@@PunchClock dude i think i figured it out! You need to go add at it like a webcam. Go into the add section in OBS and add a video capture signal and make sure the device is hooked up right, both USBs should be plugged into your PC.

@@PunchClock no it seemed to work fine for me, I've mainly been using the twitch stream platform and it worked on there as well. I haven't figured out how to get the audio to come through correctly yet

Lol just say you need help or you don’t know what you’re doing. It works just fine. Been using it ever since the first week it came out. Make sure your cables are good and make sure it’s plugged into a usb 3.0 port or higher on your PC. And it should be set up as a capture device on OBS.
