This helped me fix my friends audio delay issues, he was frustrated, he bought this card to stream to people on discord, so he didn't want to spring for something super expensive and got the XR1 Lite. He streamed to test it when he got it and noticed the audio delay immediately, we did a firmware update and it didn't fix it, audio would be in sync sometimes but other times completely off by a second or more, after googling the issue I found your video, walked him through it and now the audio is synced perfectly. I just switched to OBS from SLOBS, had my audio track separated from the audio track that is made when you bring in the capture card in SLOBS, didn't do it OBS, and I just realized after recording an entire game review and a half of footage, that its all out of sync... Thanks for the heads up, you reminded me of this and fixed the issue instantly. Thanks bud.

there's one more step after that's missing if it has not been done yet. make sure you go into your sound settings and go to the properties of the capture device and check the box that says "Listen to this device" under the listen tab of the capture device properties.

Yoooo, you are the goat. I've been looking all over for a fix for this, but most of the fixes are only addressing audio being out of sync from the start, not a gradual "desync". This also works for the XR-1 Pro if anyone is wondering. Thank you sir!

Hi, I've tried adding the seperate audio source and muting the card I still get delay. Is it just me? Is there another fix?

I picked this up for like 40$ on sale on amazon and its def the best for this price range, I remember the firmware update fixed my issue for a while but then it returned hopefully this fix works for me. Just yesterday I noticed that the audio on my recordings were getting progressively worst delay wise within a span of like 10 mins or so.

I see the solution but what I would do is use the option of "listen to this device" from the sound options in the control panels when you click on the "recording" option in devices. Should I not use that option anymore now that I have the "audio input device" listening to the capture card already? What I do is use that option and then have the desktop audio play the capture card's audio in obs. I can hear the console audio whether or not I have obs open. But it didn't solve the delay issue or anything I'm just bringing it up since it's something I use. Should I disable it now since it would have 2 audio devices playing it in obs? ( the desktop audio and the audio input device) EDIT: I would prefer not having to turn it off since it is very convenient for me. I can play games with my headset plugged into my pc meaning I can hear my console audio and watch a video on youtube or anything else at the same time if I feel like it, and sometimes If I want to stream and have my friend's audio included I'll just join their xbox party through the app (xbox game bar), instead of from the console. That way my audio and theirs will be picked up easily. I was thinking that since they (the audio input playing my capture card sound and the option of "listen to this device in the control panel sound options making it possible to play the capture card audio through the dekstop audio) seem to play the capture card's audio at the same time there might not be a noticeable audio difference like an echo or a slight delay. If I must turn off the "listen to this device option" I guess it's fine as long as I don't have to deal with the increase in stream delay after a few hours. What do you think?

The reason this works is because the "Use Device Timestamps" is unselected - OBS is not providing this option in the video input settings. Essentially the timestamps in the audio stream don't match up to the video? I'm not knowledgeable on this topic, but I'm assuming however the audio timestamps map to the video is not proper and telling OBS to ignore them is the best solution. TY for video.

@@chanuyu Click the settings cog by the new audio source, go to "Advanced Audio Properties" then in the Audio Monitoring section for the new source, set the dropdown to "Monitor and Output".

I just added an audio input as well as the video input and then you mute the video input and just sync the audio to the video only took my like 10 min to get pretty much perfect

i dont see audio picking up from the card in obs, i have selected evga xr1lite when I added it to a scene in obs. i tried streaming on discord, the display was perfect but no sound

I have problems with this thing where after an hour or two of streaming, the entire card will just freeze in OBS and to fix it I need to unplug the USB C cable, replug it in... it's super inconvieniant mid stream and I have no idea how to fix it.

First I would make sure its plugged into a USB 3.0 port. I had issues with dropped frames and realized I was plugged into USB 2.0. After that, I would maybe try switching to the other video format option in OBS, just a guess. Lastly, I would make sure this isn't an issue with your OBS, if in fact you are using OBS. Make sure the issue isn't with the actual application instead of the Capture Card. Let me know what works.
