It's all muscle memory and weight gauging through hundreds of hours of memory reenforcement. If you can remember minimum amount of force it requires to do something as well as controlling the trajectory it usually means you've mastered the art form. Just alot of repetition from what I remember in piano classes.

@chooseyourpoison51054 жыл бұрын
I will be kind and assume it was a genuine mistake calling it ribbon dancing and you have not encountered this sport before. This is rhythmic gymnastics, it is an Olympic sport and it requires tremendous strength, flexibility and fitness. The gymnasts compete with five apparatuses: ribbon, rope, hoop, clubs and ball. Why not watch more videos and learn about it?

Always think the combined movement she did in 1:16-1:19 is so difficult. You must have extraordinary balance, superhuman abs and flexibility to be able to transfer from low position to upper position. It so easy to fail that everybody prefer to perform the other way round. Only Kanaeva can do it and perform smoothly.

Bravo to the choreographer for crafting such a beautiful routine for Kanaeva, and of course bravo to Kanaeva for such graceful execution. It's a real throwback to RG in the 80s and 90s when gymnasts really had to match everything with the music. Ok I have to say that her performance at least to me looked flawless. I have to give her respect. I did color guard/marching band in high school and the flags were ..around 6 ft long and 15 pounds all together I think. I’m pretty sure the fact that they were big made them easier to catch and I struggled a lot in the beginning so so see her not just dance, but twirl a ribbon, and catch that tiny stick in the air without one drop is outstanding. She definitely deserves 🥇
