I've always loved this song from the Fifth Element. Until I came across your YT videos I had always just assumed the soundtrack was 'spoofed' with autotune and protools to get an alien singing effect. And how do you do the 4:20 bit? I heard somewhere that it's you doing the notes but someone changing the effect and somewhere else I heard that you did each note isolated then put together when edited. So now I'm confused :s If you could help me know the actual answer that would be great =]

GingerChodeBalls In this video they used the edited, synthesized version, but yes it's actually possible to hit the notes that fast naturally. You just have to sing using the INHALATION as well as the exhalation breath to move your larynx. Sort of like a controlled wheeze or sob; soft palate is high and very taut--you basically focus the vibration solely there, none reaches the hard palate and then do a hard inhale. You can produce a variety of notes using this method. it's a bit of a workout for your diaphragm but it works.

Two superlatives that are more rare: Very large lung capacity which enables dramatic, unexpected, slow and drawn out holds. Most importantly - your very creative, individual, and unexpected phrasing.
