I'm new to plickers. Sorry for a silly question. How do our students answer? Are the printed pictures tied online to the students? Do they have to register on the website or they get a kinde code as in e.g. kahoot? Thank you :)
@edtechii3 жыл бұрын
Hello Arleta, thanks for your question. Students do not have to register or create accounts. You will need to print out cards and hand them around. The cards are numbered, so you will "tell" the platform which card belongs to which students. I think I've cover this in the tutorial, haven't I? Let me know if you have more questions.

When I import a test that has exponents and other mathematical symbols and formulas, it doesn't seem to work correctly. Do you know if there is an easy way to do these (when importing, in particular)? Thank you

Hi Del, and thank you for your question. Frankly speaking, I haven't used Plickers for a while now. Let me try to understand you - you're facing an issue when constructing questions, correct? The mathematical formulas do no show accurately?

Thanks for your tutorials. After plicker card is printed, how do Students answer the questions?
@edtechii3 жыл бұрын
Hello Xinyi, and thank you for your question. If you look closely at the Plicker hard, you will notice that each side has a gray letter, e.g., A, B, C, or D. When students see a multiple-choice question, they need to indicate their answer by lifting the card with the corresponding letter pointing upward. In other words, students will rotate the card depending on the answer they want to give. A teacher will then use their phone to scan the cards. Does my explanation make sense?

Plickers have been updated multiple times. In the past, you had to have your phone to scan the cards, however, I believe they have updated the platform to meet the needs of distance learning. Why don't you give it a try and let me know :)

I have a query Say I have 5 students how will scanning the cards determine which card is associated with which student ...
@edtechii4 жыл бұрын
Hello Info Talks, thank you for your question. Each card has a number. In your class settings, you match a student's name with a card number he or she has. I normally distribute the cards according to students number on a class roster. I hope this helps!

@@edtechii Thanks for the fast response Evgenii , Hi I am gaurav from Infotalks a platform which i have started to help students ... but the base are schools and if I help schools then it can bring a great change Actually i am a software engineer for last 18 years .. your videos are going to help lot of schools in INDIA ... I have one more query that how will the mobile phone detect that the card is stating right answer .. is it the position of the card placed ... and if yes then what the position should be ..
@edtechii4 жыл бұрын
Hello gaurav, I'm glad to help. To answer your question: Yes, it's the position or orientation of the Plicker card. First, when you create a question as a teacher, you should select which of the answers A, B, C, or D is correct. Then, if you look closely a Plicker card, you will notice that each side has a letter e.g. A, B, C, and D. When students answer your question, they should hold up a card with the letter which they think is the correct answer pointing upward. For example, a question says "How many seconds are in a minute?", and possible answers are A: 30 seconds, B: 45 seconds, C: 50 seconds, D: 60 seconds. As a student, I will hold a Plicker card with letter D pointing upward. Does it make sense?

Hello technerd, thanks for stopping by the channel. Can you clarify your question a bit more, please? What exactly are you trying to do?
@anoostij5 жыл бұрын
@@edtechii Thank you for replying. I have several classes and when I click on Help-> get plickers cards it gives me a pdf file containing plickers cards for all of my classes not just one of them. Right now I just want to print cards for one of my classes.
@edtechii5 жыл бұрын
@technerd I think I understood your concern. Please understand that Plicker cards are not tied to a particular class i.e. you can print out one set of cards and use them with various classes. One important thing to remember is to match your students' roster to the Plicker cards numbers. To clarify, if Anna from 8A class is number 1 on my class list, I should give her Plicker card number 1. I can use the same card with Amy, who is number 1 on my 8B class. Does it make sense?
