This is a great summary of the pros and cons of the resource. History Prof here and I think I'll be using this in my college classroom for beginning and end of day review and summary. Really neat because no tech needed except by the educator. LoVe iT

I love how your kids feel free to interact with you. By the way you can by laminate cards at Amazon pretty inexpensive. Also very easy to import Google Classroom.

Yeah I thought about that but didn't want the light to reflect off of them, making it harder for the phone to read them. Am not doing this during distance learning though since they're already in front of a computer and can put their answer in without anyone knowing!

When you print your roster, the number assigned to the student should correspond to the plicker card. Great video...well organized.

@@gibsonedu Does it mean I have to distribute the plicker card to each student according to the no. assigned to each of them beforehand?

Is there a limit to how many answers the app can read in one go?
@gibsonedu4 жыл бұрын
There is not a limit. You just push a button to say when you’re done scanning. Students can change their answer too and you just rescan theirs (by just aiming your phone back towards them)

If you have 2 class of 40, do you need to print 80 plickers with qr code? or can you reuse the 40 of them with a different set of class?
@gibsonedu Жыл бұрын
You can use the same set of 40. On the website you'll just assign who gets which card. Have them turn them back in at the end of class.

Thanks for sharing. However, my concern is that in this distance learning thing we are going through, using Plickers doesn't seem to be much of a good option since it was originally created for the classroom and not for distance learning. Will there be a Plickers version for distance learning?
@gibsonedu4 жыл бұрын
Great question. I don’t think Plickers is really the right option for distance learning. I would use something like Socrative or Kahoot. Plickers is more ideal for in-person class where you don’t want students using their devices to log their answers. With distance learning, they’re already on their device so it doesn’t make sense to use it.

@gibsonedu5 жыл бұрын
@@eparker12011 Yeah at my school a ton of teachers use it and I think it's good for a lot of different content areas :) I know a few of them were starting to get burnt out on it, but others could literally play Kahoot all day every day. Haha.
