Ola I actually didn’t know you played in The Haunted. I saw them in Nottingham UK 2010 supporting Slayer. I’m assuming you were also there onstage as The Haunted blew Slayer off the stage especially with this song. Incredible atmosphere you guys created. Much better than the so called main act of the night

I think it's in open C# or C. The Haunted have played in that tuning on the last record, but the original song from "Made Me Do It" album is in open D#

Well that's just a matter of knowing what progresses music, and what just completely alienates the rest of music. But about 'partial copying', thats also what I meant.. Alot of progressive music becomes such when it, as you said, takes from the old and creates something new with it.. Like how some bands merge two genres to make a new genre, or when others defy the stereotypes of a genre to make something fresh

Except Hetfield doesn’t write as well, or execute as well. Jensen is a machine. Witchery, The Haunted run on the fuel he burns. Love James Hetfield. The grainy voice, the rapid downstrokes...but Patrick Jensen owns the E string and its flat tuning.
