I have symptoms of ME (otherwise known as CFS), likely from 2 infections of mono in my lifetime. When ever my immune system is low, I redevelop the EBV symptoms. I can personally vouch for valacyclovir as a treatment, especially during the prodrome phase. Thanks for mentioning the other viral drugs, and Dr Been for your wonderful ongoing, tireless work for humanity.❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏

I too have suffered ongoing EBV reactivations for years (& have not had covid-19 nor vaccine). I explain my symptoms the same as covid long haulers - less shortness of breath. I tried these drugs (no success for me but they do help others) along with complete diet change, supplements and Naturopathic Dr's recommendations. Still the reactivations persist and blind side me out of nowhere. I'm trying Ivermectin now. Nightmare to get from most pharmacies. Given that the vaccine has caused reactivations in so many like me (CFS), my Dr suggested not getting vaccinated. Praying the Ivermectin is a 2fer and also provides add'l protection against getting covid and a double whammy (wear a KN95 mask always). Thank you so much for your interest in this. There is little to no help for us and anything that helps with symptoms insurance won't cover so it is financially crippling as well over the years. Energy to work is diminished. It's no different than long haul covid for up to a life sentence. We need help and it's hard to come by. No scientific answers yet but with shining a light and connecting dots we are grateful. Keeo up the good work, appreciate all you do.

I had Covid 4/26. During an 8 week period I was on 4 different prescriptions of steroids for my lungs. Are you saying I built up no B cells or T cells due to the steroids? I got prednisone (highest was 40mg) and dexamethasone 3.5mg. I do have current lung issues.

Thank you Dr Been for another great video. ?Vaccines can cause cytokine storms. A hyper immune response to a threatening antigen would not be uncommon, leading to cytokine release but what level are we qualifying as a "storm"? Recent case with mRNA vaccine as published by Au et al (2021). From the NAoSc, 2012: "Moreover, it is possible that the unique immunogenetic makeup of an individual might predispose that individual to an exaggerated cytokine imbalance following immune stimulation such as microbial infection or vaccine administration." I also question if these vaccines are comparable with older vaccines given they are a different therapy entirely.

i am not familiar with any of the treatments but I have EBV dormant in my system and had covid then my covid vaccine couple weeks later. Covid infection was not too bad but the vaccine was hard to get through. My system is exhausted and I’ve been having a terrible time with fatigue since then and some depression and now super sore throat for weeks (strep negative). We had cov-19 in April 2021. My little boy, now 4 years old, has an EBV. We have known this for 2 years. He coughed very often, then after a lot of questions to my family doctor, we came to the analysis and learned about EBV. Then we went to the allergist. She said he needed to take a 3-month course of medicine every year until he was 5 years old. Last year, after the course, he did not get sick at all until he(we all) got covid. He had no symptoms at the time of his illness. Now he started taking the recommended medication again. Every time I start giving the medicine (you should take 2 weeks, then 2 free, then 2 take, then two free, and 2 take), he coughs, the cough is deep. Every time he needs to go to physical therapy, inhalation, heating. What can be done better? Stop taking EPAs that cause such a reaction? Maybe something special is needed for immunity to be restored? What not to do to not hurt the little boy?

MDs cannot help. There is no drug to cure it. Find a functional medicine practitioner with experience in chronic issues including autoimmune problems and epstein barr virus reactivation. He can be cured!!!! EBV left untreated causes autoimmune problems and lymphomas. Drugs are not the answer.

I have EBV and resultant CFS, I got COVID and was very ill bp 210 over 110, resting pulse 110, oxygen levels down to 89 and very ill, went into long COVID, ME all worse. Got a bit better, took vaccine and there was a little down turn, but nothing like the COVID itself. Took ivermectin after watching here, best I have been, I can tell the ebv is still about but it is less and ME is better than was. Incidentally take coconut oil every day, that knocks the ebv back a bit, I have it in my porridge ( oat meal).

I never fathomed this to be so complicated. I always have heightened EBV levels. Now I wonder about anxiety in relation to it and Covid, as there is strong data showing many of those who got severe covid had some kind of neurological issue. That could have also been due to the vaccine or covid in some and may have not been pre-existing. But even more data shows high neurological effects from the vaccine. Sigh. I don't feel safe taking this vaccine and I don't feel safe relying on IVM and other meds on top of other meds, if it gets severe. I also have major allergies so I don't know how on earth I would be able to "catch it early" when the early symptoms are pretty much identical.
