I noticed how Ivan salutes first before his troops. In a military environment, saluting first is a sign of respect to the person/people being saluted. Even though he’s a baddie, at least he gives honor to the henchmen that made his dream possible.

I have my own headcanon that they are old guards and remnants of the old H.A.M.M.E.R. in the first game who are not happy with how things are going in the second game, and they defected with the conviction that Red Ivan could bring back their golden era and Make Soviet Great Again, so to speak. Hey, if Emma is Hillary Clinton expy, making Red Ivan a fusion of President Trump and Bernie Sanders should be a fair game. I believe those minions in uniforms at the ending aren't following Ivan out of fear, but out of free will. They have faith in Ivan now. How many super villains can do that? This plot also used in Emma's schemes of having her old scientist colleagues from old S.A.B.R.E. defected to help her build a doomsday device. My headcanon said they had this plot in Ivan's earlier scripts to make H.A.M.M.E.R. old guards rebelled and give some of their territory to Ivan without firing a weapon but was cut later. The 'Getting the Band back together' achievement could be all that remain from that old script.

I think it fits Ivan that he salutes first, from being a former henchmen from the first game. How he seems to care about minions (well more then the other 3) and he is a military leader who commands respect.

@@thanakonpraepanich4284 Actually those soldiers in the ending are most likely remnants from Ivania's army (Ivania being the country Red Ivan ruled before being overthrown by H.A.M.M.E.R.), since in the lead-up to building his doomsday weapon, one of the thigns you have to do is rescue loyalist soldiers from Ivania, be it from captivity or guerilla warfare

I think it is the contrary. Considering how akward the voice acting was in most of the game (and that most lines are the same for all 4 evil geniuses), I think that the original idea was to not have almost any voice acting, and they just added the dialogues with the minions in the last moment thinking it could be a good idea and add to the game's sense of humor.

This is what a good show, not tell, is. Four scenes, depicting pretty much the same, and they all show, without a single word, four different characters and their end goal. Maximilian is the only one who leaves the player alive. Clearly psychopatic manchild, trigger-happy and not above killing but not wasteful. Ivan is war incarnate, respecting strength and strength alone. Salutes to his soldiers, but in the end, instead of ordering player killed, does it himself. In a manner of speaking, he gives you a warrior's death. Emma is not even a human being anymore. She finds lives worth nothing, she rules with fear, and finally got her world peace... By leaving so few people alive that they finally stopped annoying her with their struggles. Zalika did not choose to just rule over humanity, but to become one with them. She too is a part of the VOID, and everyone who is not a part of it now - including the player - is now a threat. There is a reason why her first test subject were worshiping VOID as their god.

@@door-to-doorhentaisalesman2978 Emma spent most of life saving the world multiple times as the spy Master of H.A.M.M.E.R never getting any credit or fair rewards for her ceaseless efforts becoming increasingly frustrated at the corruptness and inefficiency of world governments. During the reign of the last Evil Genius she went underground and began gather resources believing that once the overlords rule collapsed she could help make something better, less corrupt more efficient in the aftermath. Her dreams were quickly crushed as the previous status Quo quickly reasserted itself she saw people she knew were just as rotten as the previous evil genius only less skilled and intelligent get back into power and go back to fucking things up. This drove her to insanity she decided she was done with trying to save a world that did not want to be saved, that she was done seeing incompetent and corrupt people gain power over and over again because people were to weak, stupid or lazy to hold their leaders to account. If the world is always going to slip back into chaos no matter how hard she tried to stop it, then why not destroy it with her own two hands.

Potential Stupendium ending: The camera zooms out to show a stage, and hopelessly enthralled citizens and agents take the stage at various heights alongside the henchmen. The lights on the stage start to turn on, farther and farther up they go, the higher up the stage pyramid, the higher-ranked those on it are, and at the very top, multiple spotlights aim at a white spinny egg chair as banners unfurl and the chair turns, revealing Stupes himself sitting in it- a vibrant tyrant enshrined in a stylish chair. He slowly rises from his seat, a wild grin upon his face as he begins to laugh manically, and the camera rapidly zooms out to show that *he's turned the entire world into his stage- with all eyes on him.*

You are kinda wrong. if you destroy V.O.I.D then all of her work is ruined or if you made a weapon to make people normal again then she can be overthrown. Also, if you made a weapon to burn/break gold then Max can also be overthrown. Emma on other hand if people are alive then find a antidote for V.E.M.O.M but if everyone is dead then she wins

I think Zalika is most likely to be Canon. Her "Utopia" is non-lethal (much like the Canon EG1 doomsday the ID-Eliminator), but also most vulnerable as it relies on the V.O.I.D. Which needs to maintain physical contact with the users at all times via the watches, Remain in operation 24/7, is self-learning (May go wrong/rogue) and has already been tricked into running malicious code before by a nemesis that has successfully escaped and is almost definitely still at large and not under control. Lots of ways her Utopia could abruptly end with the world rapidly returning back to normal. The other Doomsdays are a bit more destructive and prone to leave the affected areas Desolate (Either Scorched, a Golden wasteland or completely Feral. Lots of death in all). Though each can be toppled too. (Uprising, Gold becoming worthless due to abundance, immunity to Venom via antidote)

I agree. Question is who and what themes of geniuses would we get? Some more returning geniuses from EG 1? Maybe some new ones based on popculture of the era, or classic villain archetypes. Who knows, maybe we could have a more mystical villain for example.

The first one that would not be a mere repeat of the other endings in spirit that I could think of is some form of doomstay botanist, with a weapon that lames its targets by overgrowing civilisation. They could have a loot-item (like Ivans bear) in their storyline that works as a interogation-device or trap. Of course, one could pull the same trick and focus it more on machines and robots, but I feel like that would require a option to turn ones minions in immortal machines... Given, that idea of turning people into androids would surely work out, but it could require a bit more new assets then alternatives.

one idea i thought of would be the out of place evil. his whole thing is he starts out the worst of them but he gets side objectives to improve what he can do. in the end he would steel from the others and sabotage them. (can't rule the world if they destroy it.) and in the end leads not from the front or public but from the shadows puppeteering the worlds governments. learning the less of a threat you seem the lest they will oppose. skills starting out. 1. can some one get one this! the focus one but starts out smaller than the rest and no bonuses 2. I'm not here right now. dramatically increases his movement speed for a duration. trait: pathetic leader agents take longer to identify the evil genius maybe you can work on you skills...

A game where you have to manage your empire while trying to crush any rebels and freedom fighters that would try to end your rule. Perhaps resistance fighters go as far as creating a counter-weapon to use against the Doomsday Weapon that your Genius built.

If you compare them, Max is most eccentric, Emma is most crazy, Ivan is most naive and Zalika is most stable in long term. Turning everyone you hate into gold isn't very useful. Poisoning the world is just pure insanity. Conquering the world like Ivan does means, that sooner or later there would be rebellion. But in case of Zalika, no rebellion is possible - whole world is turned into brainwashed servants of her.

You know, when you compare Ivan to the other geniuses, he is probably the nicest one of the four. When he demands an inner sanctum, he's probably the one to ask for it in the least demmanding or menacing way, and in his ending, he's the only one who leaves a few people alive under his regime, and even salutes his men first! You do know that in every ending expect Max the player (you) gets killed off as you have outlived your usefulness to the genius I.e Emma kills you by having the poison injected into you by spider, Ivan blows your head off, Zalika kills you as she realises that you still have free will and thus you are a threat to her, Polar she more like cyro freezes you so you can live though her ice age pretty unsettling isn’t it?

It's pretty fun, though both games have issues and are far from perfect. EG2 was released less than 2 weeks ago so hopefully its pacing and AI issues get sorted out.
