It's funny you mention that! I actually refuse to buy anything from them if the mother is the only one doing the talking, and the scout is just quiet the whole time ...and I tell them that, cash in hand and if the mother is quiet, while the scout confidently gives her sales pitch, I'll buy a couple extra boxes ...and I tell them that too! To me, cookies are nice, but the girls growing in a positive, healthy direction is priceless...and frankly more inspiring 😊

Funny story. I had a opposite situation here. I in fact told the Girl Scout that I want to buy some and will buy them when I get out of the store. They even told me they will be waiting and was going to be there for one more hour. I came out about 20 minutes later and they were already gone. What's even more strange is that I have not seen them around the store since. The lesson? If you want them to leave you alone or just vanish, say you will buy them when you get out and just shop in the store for a bit. Apparently it erases them from existence.
