@@LadyLunarella The issue with cakes is that they come on a cardboard plate on top of a corrugated plastic base for the container they come in. Most people bring the cake out on the plastic base, but there is very low friction between the plastic base and the cardboard, so it slides off at low angles. The friction between the two is especially low because of the corrugations on the base to make it stiffer, making the contact patch very small. On account of the low friction and small contact patch, lateral movements can break the traction between the plates and start a slide at near flat angles.
