For some reason I think about Red Dead Redemption when I hear this. Because throughout the course of the story, John is trying to redeem himself so that he can see his family. He does this by punishing his former gang for their past wrong doings. But in the end it becomes evident, that even through his effort, John still can't hide his evil ways. :)

When I first heard this song I was playing fallout new vegas I was running across the desert and put it into third person it looked awesome, and what stood out was that part "Strike them down, to make them pay."
