Evile record Pantera cover for special "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott tribute album featured on the cover of the 200th issue of U.K.'s Metal Hammer which will coincide with the five-year anniversary of Dimebag's passing. The issue will be out December 16th 2009
The track was recorded with Russ Russell at Parlour studios Kettering and tragically turned out to be the last thing Mike Alexander recorded.

Ol's literally the only person I have ever seen manage to do the solo exactly the way Dimebag did it. There's so much about this solo that people can't seem to quite replicate, and it's perfect here. Like side-by-side it with Dime, and I really almost can't tell the difference. He's even got the vibrato synched with Dime's.

living in the caribbean where metal gets scrutiny whenever someone would tell me "metals for white people not for us black people" I would show them a video of Mike Alexander playing Bass first and they would shut up. Im sure there are many other people out there who looked up to people like Mike Alexander as a tool of breaking this racial barrier that metal is not for black people (mostly in the caribbean). I was going to see these guys with entombed and amon amarth in sweden but then Mike passed away... like 2-3 days before the show. I mean 80% of the concert for me was evile...
