Great reaction, thanks. Some don't realize that the original comic strip is from the 1930s where Gomez in this show is closest to the one in the comic strip.

- "Werewolf conversion camp". No subtext there. - The disdain that she shows for her family aside, Wednesday seems to be very much a daddy's girl.

I agree with you on the cast! Great casting and amazing acting. I wasn't sure about Gomez at first but he even grew on me this episode! I always had a crush on Catherine Zeta Jones and Morticia Addams so I'm losing my mind over Catherine Zeta Jones playing Morticia. I think I even squealed like a pig the first time I saw her in the car!

I agree with her being a daddy's girl. I'm glad they gave her characteristics of both her parents though. I never read the comics or seen the animated series but from what I know it seems a good mix of both

Gwendolyn Christie not attractive? Tormund Giantsbane and I beg to differ.

From popsugar article: "There was something different about Tim Burton's "Wednesday" set for Gwendoline Christie. As the "Game of Thrones" star told Entertainment Weekly in an interview on Nov. 24, joining the dark and fantastical world as Nevermore Academy's Principal Larissa Weems was actually the first time she ever felt "beautiful" on screen. She credited this transformative experience, in large part, to Burton, who worked with Christie to develop her character as she saw fit. "He said, 'You can do whatever you like with the character, feel free to make it whatever you want and we'll keep talking about it,'" Christie said."
