Zach Randolph - Savvy Scorer (Old Man Game)

Zach Randolph has an old school game. That’s one thing everyone can agree on. ZBo’s accolades may not be as lengthy as his contemporaries (2x NBA All-Star, All-NBA Third Team, NBA Most Improved Player), but he’s been in the league coming up on 16 years now, and he’s got career averages of 17.0 points and 9.5 rebounds per game. It doesn’t matter that ZBo can’t jump over very much, he knows how to play the game. He can rebound, he can shoot, he can bang in the paint, he's got spectacular footwork, he understands how to use his wide body, and he knows which spots to get to in order to best attack. The big man is purposeful, powerful, and precise.
Right block. Left hand. Feels the defender. Faces up. Attacks. Sometimes it’s a jab step or two. If the man leans or bites on a fake, blow by. If the man doesn’t budge, it’s a pullup, or a step back. Sometimes he’ll create the contact and rip right through for his favorite sometimes running, sometimes sweeping hook. Sometimes he’ll pump and pivot (and pump and pivot and pump and pivot), until he’s got an angle at the rim. Every now and then, he’ll throw in a left block postup just to keep the defense honest. Every now and then, he’ll beat his man in a foot race, and BURY his defender, for a deep catch and turnaround hook. It’s footwork. It’s know-how. It’s reading the defense. Zach Randolph's old man game will always have a place in the NBA.

@Kings Will Soon Rise Barkley was 6 4 and dominated. Only time Zion will be challenged is when he faces a good one on one post defender. Size is important in the post but body position, creating space and touch is just as important

He muscles up with the opponents bigs,, an no matter how athletic they are, he still gets his shit off.. And anyone notice everytime he down low whether on off or def, he always yells out He AAAAA! He smart cause it give him attention wit the refs, as if they killin him.. crafty yo!! One of the illest. Ill pick him on my quad anyday!
