Paul Pierce had an aesthetically pleasing game man. His spins, misdirections, fakes, and jumper were awesome to watch. He’s absolutely underrated by many casual fans who know him as the crazy commentator guy
@riffsthatkill2180 Жыл бұрын
He also got to the rim well, using those moves. He had game all the way from the rim out to the perimeter. One of my fave players and very underrated as you said. I actually don't find his Dwayne Wade comparison that ridiculous. Wade had a better career but I'm pretty sure if you switched their teams then Pierce would have been as successful.

I remember D-Wadd kid said a couple years ago that D-Wade's Heat with LeBron and Bosh owned him as if he started watching basketball once LeBron joined. He clearly forgot or never watched Pierce and the Celtics beat the Heat in the 2010 playoffs 4 to 1 (up 3-0), plus Pierce hit a Game winner at the buzzer in game 3.

I'll be honest, I feel like I've waited my whole life as a Celtics fan for this. Film breakdown of what everyone who watched Pierce play understood, but that I could only ever describe as 'old man game' and 'clutch'. The way he keeps his base, how he's always in a position to gather, always able to put his strength behind a shot if there's contact, able to create just enough space from pretty much any angle - the *skills* he developed after his recovery are all-timer stuff. I've never, ever wanted any player with the game on the line more than Paul. Not any sport. This is a great video, thank you for it.
