It's a FACT that defense back then was allowed to be more physical, but that doesn't necessarily mean players were easier to stop than now, or that today's players are far worse defenders than back then. Many people use that for some downright ridiculous statements (Jordan could score 50 a game without hand checking easily). There is a lot less 1 v 1 defense in today's NBA and a lot more team defense, and since ISO heavy players are pretty rare, their skill set becomes far more recognizable.

@kamrinmurphy60524 жыл бұрын
@@AzulACR steps don't count until the ball is gathered. this occurs when either: a) one hand is underneath the ball (cannot continue dribbling or it'll be a carry) b) both hands are in contact with the ball (cannot continue dribbling or it'll be a double dribble) not saying he's never traveled before, but about 95% of the time harden does a step back, for the first outward step that most people count as a step, he only has one hand on the ball, on top of it or on the side. it doesn't count as a step, because at that point he could fake the step back and continue his dribble (the ball isn't gathered). AFTER he takes the first outward step, he brings his other hand onto the ball, and takes his 1-2 as he lands from the backward jump, and goes up into the shot. not a travel. look at it in slow-mo if you want

Some professional players does workouts with some legends in off season, like lebron, kobe and dwight howard that worked out with olajuwon or jaylen brown working out with T-Mac.
