Falco is actually harder to short hop with since his jump is naturally high and he has a fast jump speed. HBox doesn't have the best tech skill around its why he mains Puff

DarkDevastator77 Falco IS NOT harder to short hop with. If you are not holding the jump button after the jump lag, you do a short hop. Longer lag times are easier to reset to neutral with the stick. Fox has 2 frames to press the button and then release, falco has 4.

After seeing this, I think Armada definitely would fare better with some other puff counter. yeah YL can projectiles, but most stages are too small for it to work well. Maybe sheik?

And Sheik can't really camp with needles. Jiggs can out-maneuver and camp against Shiek herself. Fox is really the only character with a notable, distinct advantage against Puff (and even then Puff can retaliate with some techniques of her own).

Old Armada used way more grabs on Jiggs, plus shot arrows and rangs with the bomb held. The fox match seemed to throw him off even though he won.

you can, apex 2010, but it is a bad matchup, in hbox favor, thats why armada play Young link against him. He is pretty campy, there was a match where it took them 1 freaking minute to damage each other, and the match end with 2 stocks each, hbox at 15% armada at 16%

It was pretty bad lmao. I'd say it's mid-play level. He has fundamentals obviously but he rarely shorthopped and even struggled with some wavedashes, clearly showing he's not very familiar with the character. He's a top player so it's of course good, but in comparison to any top level fox it's trash.

Shuv It's matchup more than character in this situation. Young Link just happens to have a lot of tools that help defeat jiggs. Lots of projectiles to camp her out, and punish her, hard to edge guard etc. Obbiously in other matchups young link isn't ideal, but he's actually pretty good against jiggs

Michael Gallagher Alright makes sense. I just didn't understand it from a competitive standpoint as not only was it obvious at this point in time that YL was like 15 places lower than Jiggs tier wise but also seeing this is Evo 2K14 not 2001 or something it just seems stupid and it ended poorly as it should have. Oh well, I would assume it was/is similar to the Samus X Fox match but too bad it didn't work out.
