Yeah, the neutral CC style was used by several players in EVO, but Heiho by far did it the best. I think, as this game evolves (esp. with the new DLC) we'll see more counters or twists on this style.

Even though Ruby/Gordeau is pretty strong with their cross combo, you have to give credit to Heiho. Cross combo is not that easy to pull off.

His team aside, Heiho is so fundamentally strong. Keeping track of everything on screen the way he did; but it does feel like he beat Fame because of characters when Fame did the same kinds of things with great success against the other players.

stovenven I'm kind of torn on that. Yeah Heiho was using top tier characters, but those Cross Combos take a lot of skill and effort to get down.

Coran Baker You act like Gordeau is that much above the rest and Fame was playing top tiers as well. These Japanese players like Heiho are very good and Americans just need to step up their game. Gordeau is fair like he is Undernight just annoying and I don’t know what they’d do to Ruby to tone her down but I’ll admit she’s up there. This wasn’t because of his character it was because of his fundamentals.

I’m sure serious players are pissed with Heiho and his team, but daaamn. I’ve yet to play an online game (I suck at fighting games so I stick to cpus) and Heiho’s performance was stunning. I had no idea that playing the cards right would effectively get both characters on the field and that they can be used almost perfectly side by side. It looked like an actual 2v1 and it was a spectacle to this newbies eyes.

Oh man that Ruby Gord play was immaculate. I've been liking Ruby Yang for a while since Yang anchor is really good with Ruby as my all rounder but the pressure that can be exerted with the Ruby Gord team makes it worth trying out. Another member for my roster maybe?

She's a zoner, that's for sure. My knowledge is a bit outdated, having not fought Nu (or at least her playstyle in Lambda) since Continuum Shift, but i can tell you that she looks that bad because it's a great player running her. She wasn't normally so strong, I don't think.

Shes not bad. She has no mixups only mid and low strings. Has no options close range and can be beat by many projectiles

She's really not hard to fight against. Just keep pressure on her and there's very little she can do.

Burst in this game actually works against her here, since her enemies always have a way to get right up next to her. If she didn't have dp/pushblock she'd be really terrible

I'm not disrespecting Heiho but when I watch these games I'm thinking "ok....HOW the hell would I even deal with shit like this?". I'm all for going beyond and pushing myself but like you got a team that has so much damn range it takes up almost the whole screen, tons of block stun, little to NO room to even move let alone counterattack, and an incredible combo/damage game as well as great meter building on top of it. It also doesn't help that Heiho is sick himself but.......like HOW do you even deal with that kind of shit?!

This final would have been so much more hype if Fame could just keep his momentum going, but Yu was just to honest for those dirty scythe set ups and we had a final where everyone's hype was killed by top-tiers. Congrats to Heiho, but in the end. This was the worst time line, everything else was pretty hype tho (TEAM BIG BOIS LADS!)

Genoh I don't know, from my preseptive, jin was doing alot more work and generally surviving a lot longer than Yu both thanks to his anchor placement and his moves be a lot more suited to mix's up and pressure, I think fame just needed to mix it up more to throw off Heiho's game, he was trying to play clean all match and he saw right through it. A simple smart character change may very well have saved him the final, there were better counters for that team.

You make it sound like I hate her character overall. FYI, I actually enjoy RWBY itself and currently waiting for volume 6 to be release. I have absolutely no problem with anyone selecting her out of curiosity or whatnot rather than maining her. The thing is and I know that i'm not alone here. Ruby is the most braindead and easiest character in the entire game hands down. Plus on hit, very short recovery, bs hitbox, invincibility in her 236 distortion and etc. Majority of the player base hates Ruby because how freaking broken and skill-less she is. Power to you if you decide to main that easy as hell character, just don't ask me to respect you or any sore. Believe me, when I say that there's way worst people in the community who will go out of their way to bully or troll anybody who mains Ruby. I usually avoid Ruby mains at all cost. I don't want to deal with her stupidness. Tho, if I do fight one without knowing [ win or lost ], i'll move on with my day. I don't care, if you get mad at me all because i refuse to respect someone who main a broken braindead character and this is NOT about "tiers". I dislike fighting broken characters.
