KholdKhaos64 Ray The FGC went from hating auto combos, easy inputs, and comeback mechanics to praising a game that has all of that. My beef isn’t with DBFZ because I love ARC and I love DBZ. As far as Dragon balls go. It’s very rare to get them but it’s another comeback mechanic. And it’s seeing play.

(I assume the original reply wasn't towards me but to the FGC as a whole) I've still seen people state that they don't like some of those aspects though, particularly the auto combos but I think they've just learned to tolerate them because the rest of the game's pretty nice.

One of my favorite fighting games of all time It's like a easy to learn but hard to master kind of game as all the charecter have somewhat the same special move inputs There are also auto combos but dont think that the are a cheap way to win as there are weaknesses in the auto combos and if you come by a player who knows their shit then they will destroy you if you dotn play smart Its strategic, its intense, and it's crazy fun Hope this helps if you havent bought the game

Because Bayonetta is REALLY strong (pretty much Fox in melee kind of strong), really shitty to play against, and REALLY shitty to watch. The character is anti-hype. So boring to watch. There's very few hype Bayonetta matches and generally most of them are Bayonetta getting bodied by another character. The anti-hype thing wouldn't be that big of a problem if Bayonetta wasn't easily the best character in the game - but because she is, so many tryhards play her (not bitching about them choosing the best character, just really hate how boring she is). Both Captain Zack and Lima are good players, but neither of them would do better than a top 8 appearance at best if there wasn't a ton of top players that didn't bother to go to EVO this year. Like in Melee, Fox is easily the best character but Fox is still hype to watch and play against. Bayo is like if Fox was boring as fuck to watch and shitty to play against, and her ladder combos only compound both these problems. She should have been banned in 2016. Not for being too strong, but for the deadly combo of being really strong AND really shitty/anti-hype. She's bad for the community and bad for viewers too.

The people who are crying about the side switch are the ones that primarily play online. As someone who plays a lot of local (as Sonic does) I understand needing to be on a certain side to feel comfortable. If you play online you are probably in the middle. Go1 didn't have to say yes. Refs didn't have to take that long. Momentum is only as real as you make it

EVO uses a double bracket system where every player has two lives and after a player gets defeated once they are given one more chance to climb back up to grand finals through the lower bracket. Towards the end of the tournament both GO1 and SonicFox were in the top bracket. SonicFox defeated GO1, forcing GO1 to fight the remainder of the lower bracket players for a chance at the finals. GO1 did, and when SonicFox and GO1 fought again in the Grand Finals, GO1 managed to "reset" the bracket by defeating SonicFox once, essentially putting them both back at an even playing field where both players' extra chances had been expended. At that point GO1 and SonicFox played a final set, which is the footage you see marked as "Grand Finals Reset" towards the end of the video.
