Leffen made use of some sneaky new tech at least three times in the final match. He does Cell’s normal blockstring pressure into a perfect attack and calls Android 21’s assist then crosses up. 21 actually has really low blockstun which if used after the first hit overrides the normally high blockstun of perfect attack and creates a tiny gap, in effect he removes the games normal blockstun crossup protection. Shows just how far Leffen was digging to find a way to open up GO1.

@Jonathan McMahon There are so many moments Go1 could've done the exact same thing in previous games. The man's known for 40+ second block chains. Of course he could've reflected at some point. Even in this game, you can see a few moments where he could've reflected into a solid punish too, especially towards the end. Just because someone missed a chance to reflect, that doesn't mean much. To be able to hold some solid block chains like the both of them in this game especially towards the end, that's great. It also comes down to reading your opponent's patterns, so sacking a few chances to reflect for better odds of success later is also a thing.

That was just...insanity. As upset as I get at this game, I have to say, the hope of maybe reaching this level one day makes me keep playing.

can't believe I didn't see this set before but not only getting Shenron in an actual tourney but just grabbing a second Spark from it when you're ALREADY IN THE MIDDLE OF A LEVEL 3 SPARK is an insane power move.

I'm back 3 years later to to watch what I'd possibly the best dbfz tournament game along with the hypest commentary. If it was in Evo top 8 it would be considered one of the greatest matches/comebacks. But yo that perfect attack with 21 assist was so cheap lol. But in all honesty everyone thought 21 wasn't good at that time so good on leffen for figuring that out to open up the unbreakable go 1

that was legit ultra instinct, best thing ive ever witnessed from a video game

He lost and GO1 summoned the Dragon on him seems free to me

One Punch Fish I know this is a bait but there is kinda a reason why people think this is the greatest match of all time so far. Leffen showed everyone what he’s learned from summit, he just choked but it was also the godlike defense of Go1 that made the match (not to mention leffen’s defense in that last game was insane as well.) And Go1 would DEFINITELY pop off on someone who is free.

One Punch Fish you wouldn't even last 2mins with on this game stfu hell I'll free yo ass up my damn self
@Karma-pq9fi6 жыл бұрын
Jack Gomes but he still for washed by dogura who is definitely not better then go1 either he want taking it seriously or he was off that day I get the only reason it's called the best is because no one expected that from leffen

this is the first ever gameplay of dbfz that i’ve ever seen (i’m familiar with mostly smash content so i just came to watch big leff) and this is by far the most hyped i’ve ever been about something i really don’t understand at all. super cool to watch
@willn86646 жыл бұрын
This is how you know this game brings players and commentators from other various fighting games together. You have a MvC/SF commentator, a KOF commentator, a Smash player and a SF player.

I watch tournaments of all different types of fighting games and that has to easily be the best performance to ever take place in a fighting game. It was so insane it seemed almost choreographed. Truly a shame that someone had to lose the match

This was the best season of the game imo. Everybody was still learning the intricacies and coming up with tons of new tech, yeah some characters were busted but every match was always so fun
@maxspecs6 жыл бұрын
When this game began its competitive circuit, people were quick to say that Shenron would never show up in competitive matches. But those who play at the top tiers have found ways to work the system into their own fighting styles, they've risen above, gone beyond.
