Jaze Extent Peach has float cancels hard to execute combos and not much range. There’s a reason only like two peaches got into top 50 pgr.

i also want to mention that fd was perfect against proto because he couldn't escape to platforms with dolphin slash. i know he was comfortable on this stage because of his confidence in the neutral game. unfortunate because peach can combo like nobody else. all it takes is a couple neutral wins for peach to come back.

its almost like proto was robbed that g2. there were key moments sam had god like adaptation. really it all fell away from 2 really good combos and one edgeguard. suddenly samsora at 150+ was vs a proto at 90. it was doable and that was scary. i think it was all dependent on the interaction where they both jumped out of shield twice and proto went for nair and missing twice. i think on the second one he should've instead daired or ran away. this loss was very frustrating because proto had minimal mistakes. amazing how this game can shift in only a couple interactions.

Proto kinda lame imo, like he's a very good player and someone to study but like I don't enjoy watching him standing nair over and over, good adaptation by samsora to figure out the way around it. Could just be me not thinking Lucina is particularly interesting

Yeah, I only enjoy watching a couple swordies in this game. Most of them seem like raw spacing is the name of the game at all times, as well as just swatting people away with obnoxious hitboxes.

It's probably just that. Proto is definitely the most aggro Lucina out there, but imo that actually cost him here, where he should have slowed down when he had a lead. For Peach, all this matchup is is staying more grounded so shield is available, and bait and whiff punish attacks.
