I really don't think duck hunt is that bad. I mained him in 4, and he's got good traps as long as you're patient. He's definitely not high tier, but the distance between top tier and mid-low (where I would put DHD) is not that great in this game . That first game showed how close it could be.

@@moocowp4970 The issue really just comes down to Duck Hunt's kill potential. Because Duck Hunt has very poor landing and recovery options and is also light, he's very easy to KO. On the flip side to this, it's difficult for Duck Hunt to KO due to having lackluster kill options. That said, he's a really fun and decent character. The balance team just needs to focus on the character more.

one of the worst match up for Duck hunt. Joker's Edgeguard is insane, and he has also great reflect. Up-air, Duck hunt's best move, is doesn't work well because of gun.

I feel like Joker is fairly balanced except it would be good to have a few minor nerfs, that Rebellion Guard just lasts SOOOOOO long, it should be same length as other counters so you can deal with it in the air. As it stands on the ground you can deal with it if you read it and go for a grab (which in itself is already favourable to Joker), but in the air it's a bit BS. Joker can just hold it for so long until the other player is forced to retreat back to stage and then Joker can get on with his tether grab uncontested. I think nerfing Arsene slightly by making the character lighter while he has it or maybe slower (make it a bit more glass cannon-y) could help too. But man, Leo is just a beast, makes Joker look sooo good.

@@danieldancer4065 He's not really, he's slightly below average (46th heaviest, so a bit lighter than average, but not light); but I more meant it would be good if there was some more slight downside to having Arsene, maybe decreasing weight isn't particularly a good way, but essentially his only downside is being able to get 2 framed slightly easier, I feel it would be more entertaining if he was a bit glass cannon-y (since Joker without Arsene isn't exactly bad, I figure Joker with Arsene should have some more counterplay)

Can we talk about the f smash at 6:00? He held it for so long and yet still landed it. Edit: I can't tell, but it looks like he extended the duration of the hitbox by hitting the can too, which is why it still hit maybe?

Yes, When attacking something in this game the hitbox will linger for some strange reason, extending how active it is. Not sure, why it's like that though...

It's a little subtler, but Raito did the same extension of the hitbox with the spike that happened shortly after.

Yes. It was a hitbox extension. Even so, I dont know how Raito died at 6:04 . If you see the minimap, it seems that Raito DIed correctly and managed to save himself... but a few frames later, the game decided to take his stock. Its strange.

MkLeo is the best player in the world. He didn't win this because Joker > Duck Hunt, he won because MkLeo > Raito. It is interesting to think whether Raito would get better results with a different main, but I feel what he loses in piloting such a tricky character, he makes up for in the fact that he almost always knows the match-up better than his opponent.
