EVO 252 VS. Gallet LH250

Almost 6 years using my Evo 252. I fly in very hot environments, long flights and use NVGs. With the A20's option, I couldn't be happier. I get it that these kinds of items can be as personal as the brand of underwear we use, but in my opinion these guys have improved what was already good (Galled 250) and fixed some of their existing flaws. And they're not cheap Chinese knock offs like some like to call it.

I really appreciate the compliment Allan. Glad you are enjoying your helmet. What happens is people need to justify their investments so most times if they already own a Gallet they will tell themselves they made the right choice when other options were available.

your criticism of the MSA chin strap is totally off point. youre flicking it open claiming that its a poor design, when in fact thats the intended operation of it. its a far better and quicker design then the 252.

Hey there sugar daddy! I stand by what i said in the video and my flicking of the chinstrap. As you use the msa plastic chinstrap the latch wears down and weakens over time to the point where it takes minimal effort to unlatch. The entire helmet industry is moving towards the use of the fidlock magnetic chinstrap which we helped pioneer. You’re welcome. Have a nice day.

Sorry but I really don't care if this biased or not, because it is true. Every Gallet we used cracked. The wait time was terrible and the only company who's wait time is worse than Gallet is Alpha, and now that Gentex have taken them over, it got worse! I have ordered from Evo numerous times, you usually get the tracking number the same day. Bottom line is that the Evo is a darn good helmet with numerous upgrades over the Gallet. Someone needed to shake up the helmet world and these guys did. Thanks.

isreal is not our friend haha. Good troll Israel. Not even the same state or country, not ability to work in the states either. However, I understand you have an obvious dislike for the Evo, so may I suggest you don’t buy or use one. However for someone who services helmets, has been in the helicopter game as an engineer and pilot for well over 40 years I was expressing my opinion, as you also can. My point is that Alpha parts take so long to arrive you can measure it in in beard growth and that’s after you shaved it off twice! Gallet chin straps are without doubt the worse of any helmet! I have zero affiliation with Evo, but I do like their products.

How can the EVO fit a standard NVG battery pack? I’ve never seen a photo with an EVO with an NVG battery pack with weight bag.

How can I use aGentex mil heli helmet without removing electronics for ultralight trike use? Being a heli helmet probably is voice activated??? No PTT needed?? I want to be able to connect to a PTT button and into a hand held transceiver Yaseu FTA 550..... I need a U75 to U174 adapter cable and probably into a low to high convertor.... After L to H conversion do I need a 2 cable plug connection OR a single cable with single plug heli style? Very confusing topic

Dont buy an Evo. There is a reason why the french air force uses the LH250 in their fleet. I have both and the Evo looks like a high schooler put it together and when things go wrong its never their fault. The Gallet is much more durable and is built more precise than the evo is or will ever be . Alex can be an extremely cocky and prick dude to deal with . Spend your money wisely .

Dear Alex i bought a few month ago an EVO 252 with plugin cable. Now i seen that you can also attach the cable fix to the helmet. Could you tell me how much it would cost to change the plugin to an fix installed cable? Cheers

Philipp, we will do that cable swap free of charge, just send in your helmet. When you have some downtime just call us to let us know your helmet is coming. Include a note inside the box with the desired changes and we will do that asap.

Do you have plans to release a face shield for these helmets? It is a draw card for me as I have doors off with my head outside a fair bit doing sling,. Cheers

Hello Jay, thank you for the question. We do plan to release a maxillo facial shield for the EVO helmets. We are currently looking at the hardware for mounting a face shield & options for oxygen masks and respirators as well. You can expect these parts to be released within a year.

I don't like MSA Gallet LH250 because an EVO uses metal not plastic. There will be LH350 helicopter helmet.
