Absolutely! The kids always come first. And that’s an awesome project, man! A little love goes a long way with those bikes. I’ve seen bikes with 15k miles that look and feel like they’ve been driven around the world because nobody maintains them. And then I’ve seen bike with 80k that look like they just rolled off the assembly line

Be careful with those EV27 cams those fast opening n closing ramps will beat up your tappets in short order. You'll be changing your cam in about 20k miles.. 😳

Hi Brandon, this is Larry, the owner of this 1997 Heritage Softail Classic. As you mentioned in the video, I've been anxiously waiting for this video of this work you did on my bike. She's been running and sounding great! I'm so glad I listened to you and did the entire top end gaskets and new pistons. I know with all the new parts and work you did, she will cruise many miles with no issues. Your abilities, knowledge and genuine care is "heads above" the majority of folks out there...I greatly appreciate it. Now i've got some bad news and good news. Bad news...I've started losing some confidence on this bike, so I'm probably going to sell her next spring. Good news...about 3 weeks ago I purchased a 2019 Ultra Tri Glide (trike) with only 10K miles with a certified pre-owned warranty. Needless to say, my confidence is back and i'm loving the Tri Glide. So, I'll be in contact with you early summer 2024 for a new cam install, S&S cam plate w/ oil pump and whatever else is needed. It's quite the difference moving from an 80CI Evo to a 114CI M8 with all the fancy stuff,,,it's amazing and i'm riding the Tri-Glide constantly. Once again, thanks for the great work! Somebody is going to get a great 1997 Heritage Softail Classic with about 37K miles. 😁

I’m glad you found something you’re confident and comfortable on! Thanks for the kind words, and thanks for trusting me with your machine. If you think there’s a big difference in sound and power with the cam on an Evo, I can’t wait for you to feel the difference on an M8!

The springer video isn’t going to be as detailed with the engine break down, but I’ve got some good updates coming for it! That bike is actually almost finished 😀

This is Larry, the owner of this 97 Heritage Softail Classic. Thought I'd give you an update on her. First, I haven't sold her. Matter of fact, I haven't even listed her. I'm finding myself riding her on occasion. After all the work Brandon did, she purrs like a kitten and runs down the road with absolutely no problems. I really enjoy taking her out to various car shows or just riding around. It's so different from my daily ride (2019 Tri Glide with an M8). Thanks again Brandon for the great work you did to her. 👍👍

You seem to use your hands as mallots quite a bit... Take it from a 64yr old who used to do it too and stop doing that! All the damage that your doing now will catch up to you down the road, in fact I can barely use my hands now because of it. Use a dead blow hammer and rags instead. Otherwise, great tutorial for the ones who need them, or the ones (like me) who haven't done one in awhile.
