Good how to video- I have done it twice on my 08 GSR. I use aluminum food tray when disassembling the housing. Also try using vise grips for pinch hose clamps. Great videos started following.

factory one died at 25K miles, then installed Walbro 255 prior to protune ,in less than a year the walbro died- claimed warranty and got a new walbro 255. Been good since- currently 50K miles

Sowmya Deenadayal Yeah my walbro 255 died on me after a year or so. Then I decided to try an AEM 320 so far so good!

Hey man idk if you’ll see this but I just installed it and it’s not priming I don’t think, I used the oem plug as well everything’s hooked up so you know what it could be why it’s not priming?

Did you have to use the wires that comes with the fuel pump? I'm about to do mine and don't know if you have to??
@drivennw24166 жыл бұрын
You don't have to. I pulled the stock wiring harness off the old pump and used that. It plugs right in at the top.
@joshpena27446 жыл бұрын
Ok cool so I don't have splice any wires or anything
@drivennw24166 жыл бұрын
Josh Pena nope! That’s only if you want to run a bigger gauge wires to a relay to get more power to the pump to flow more. Not necessary if you don’t make huge power

Awesome thanks alot!!! Awesome video as well... Will be using this in reference to do mine thanks again

Why is it that people who do install videos never follow through on last step? You dont show what is needed after the pump installed. Priming etc.
@drivennw24165 жыл бұрын
EVO X CHANNEL you don’t have to prime the pump. As soon a turn the key to the on position it primes the pump...
@Evoxyoutube5 жыл бұрын
On mine I had to prime it few times. And tuners also said priming is needed.

@@drivennw2416 nice video installing

EVO X CHANNEL I mean I guess you can cycle the key to make it seem like your priming the pump more 🤷♂️. Thanks for the comment tho! I no longer have any more evos haha I moved on to way different cars

@@drivennw2416 why no more evo?
@cristianb38647 жыл бұрын
Hey I have an evo x with just bolt ons. I took it to get tuned yesterday and my tuner told me the car was running lean. He said I need a 320 aem fuel pump.. you think it's running lean because it needs the relays or the fuel pump?
@drivennw24167 жыл бұрын
Cristian Barajas It could honestly be both. the Panasonic stock fuel relays can't keep up with the fuel demand. I'd check and see if you have the stock fuel relays. if you do definitely order up the "relay kit" from Maperfomance. Your pump definitely should be able to flow that much power if your on pump gas with full bolt ons. I'd honestly buy an AEM 320 pump tho for future plans on your evo x.
@cristianb38647 жыл бұрын
Yes I checked I do have the stock relays... I'm not planning for more power it's my daily. Thanks for the fast response
@drivennw24167 жыл бұрын
Cristian Barajas No problem. Definitely get rid of those asap.
@cristianb38647 жыл бұрын
I already order them.. thanks hopefully it can get tune this time.

Should've done it with half a tank of gas or lower lol. Also why dont you go with Walbro 450?
@drivennw24167 жыл бұрын
itchigocambodian92 Yeah I could've done it with lower gas, I've done it a few time before so I was confident on how little of gas I was going to spill. I went with the 320 because I didn't have good luck with the 255 so I decided to give AEM a shot. I'm also planning on going Radium Surge tank in a couple months which I'll add another 320. so fuel is covered!
@itchigocambodian927 жыл бұрын
So what are you making on EFR8473 kit? Is it on pump or E85?
