Evo and ralliart hood are made from aluminum and often lighter then carbon fiber hoods. So a wrap is the best option if you like the look and dont want to waist money adding weight.

Since my comment i use cheap wrap and stuffed it up and ended up paint my bonnet myself came up ok. In the end i feel like i should of spent the money on the good wrap would of liked awesome

Haha I just bought 4D wrap as well so I'll see how that goes. I'm using it to hide some scratches my bonnet has and a part I tried to retouch up. Might get it repainted in the future or buy real CF if I like how the wrap turns out.

Hey I race in that Car. I also own not 1, but 2 of them. Because I practice in one, and the other is a backup. I bent the frame off one, so that was totalled. So I had to get the insurance claim and buy a new one. I always make sure to have 2 Evos, because being a Rally Driver, I go through cars pretty fast. Especially my Practice Cars.

im not sure if you guys have done your research in regards to carbon hoods. The weight difference is minimal. Besides that, the owner can always decide to change the look up without dissembling the hood. Its a quick way to change the look of your car. with that said, why is everyone so concerned about what he should buy?

Wraps are inherently ricey to begin with.. Trying to be something it's not. Paint protection is 3M or X-pel.

i mean for a budget mod, this isnt that bad. no ones gonna stop him on the side of the road and point out his wrap. i mean, im an artistically inclined person, honestly if it looks good and makes the person happy and is a cheaper alternative i really dont see any reason to hate. If i had the money laying around id throw some real carbon on there but if you just cant wait and you do the wrap correctly and it works i dont see why not. And no a carbon wrap doesnt add horsepower but then again the different in hood weight doesnt make a huge difference anyway. Im not gonna sit here and use "well id do it" to defend someone elses decision cuz were all different we have what we like and we dont care what others have to say. Carbon fiber hoods are extremely expensive and are not very durable. However I wouldn't get a wrap, looks ricey, id leave it stock.

And it protects the paint from stone chips, scratching, fade ect..And I'm sure an evo has a lightweight bonnet anyways. I see where you're coming from but why so negative? Car scene so toxic... I plan on wrapping my hood with 4D CF Vinyl but only to hide scratches and stuff. Plan on getting it retouched up when I can. For those who are watching this video because you want to wrap your hood, just do it. If you like the look then save up for real CF hood. I'd say fake it till you make it. Who gives a fck what people think. Life is too short to care. I don't see a real reason to buy a real CF unless you're gonna race or track it. If its just for looks then what's the point of buying a 500-600 hood if you're not going to put it to its actual use? If you wanna wrap then wrap it. If not then don't. If you guys get offended easily by being called a "ricer" then I would stay away from the wrap.
