3rd Strike released in arcades back in 1999. Here we are in 2024, a quarter-century later, 3rd Strike is still considered the greatest fighting game of all-time. Absolutely fucking wild.

What's crazy to think about is it wasn't even all that big of a game then. And the first two in the SF3 series were mediocre at best. Then you do more than hit your stride in 3S, you have a true Sistine Chapel moment - an absolute work of art. I don't think it will ever be passed
