thought your top valve was leaking by the amount of water draining out once you removed the bottom fitting.

Glad you sorted it. Regarding cleaning the algea on the other one, you can plug an air pump on the EA air valve, drop the water a bit from the tempest and open the valve at the top. And let it agitate for 5 minutes. Do that a few times and you'll see that it will come off.

Hi Kev, congrats on reaching 2000 subscribers it's well deserved buddy, ouch on the bee stings, I've got them in my garden not a nest they just getting something out the soil and flying away, but it's in area I'm doing stuff, fingers crossed they leaving me alone so far, stay safe. Rob.

Hi. Lau of french koinection has fitted a airpump on the air intake which allows here to boil the media for a few minutes before dumping water. Help cleaning the tempest tube too

Ouch I got attacked by a bee hive once got stung 9 times so I know how that feels great update tho bud hope it didn't hurt to much 👍 stick an air pump on the non return valve on your tempest with the top gate valve open and that will give it a good clean 👍 leave it bubbling for a few minutes before you open the waste and that should clean all the crud of the side of the tempest 👍

I've seen a lot of people using an air pump on the tempest. TBF I thought that's what you were supposed to do, but that's only because I've seen so many people do it.

I clean mine by closing the bottom valve off. Drain a inch or so off. Then I have a spare air pump connected to the one way valve. Turn that on and it boils it more violently and as long as ya won’t.

Hi. Mate great video . How easy was it to change slide valve and where did you get them. Mines ok but I think on the way out. To clean cylinder take off and just give it a good shake and the algae come off . Cheers Chris

Cheers for watching and sharing the tip. I bought a new Valterra Slide valve from Five Acre Koi Pond Supplies and undid the 4 bolts and just swapped the centre slide and 2 o rings and it worked fine.. It took about 3 minutes.
